A camera phone from Motorola – the MOTOZINE ZN5, with an ultra-fast Kodak 5.0 MP auto-focus camera and bright Xenon flash, providing a high-quality experience to help you snap brilliant photos of fast-moving subjects. CrystalTalk technology detects background noise and adjusts the audio, enables you enjoy clearly audio quality even in a crowd.
The MOTOZINE ZN5 keeps you in touch all over the world with quad-band GSM and EDGE support. Your web navigation and data transfers will be done before you have a chance to think about growing impatient. Bluetooth 2.0 connection enhances data transfer and sharing while Wi-Fi support integrates your Motozine into any existing wireless network! A built in Windows Media Player 11 keeps you entertained without having to bring a separate device with you.
If you're crazy about capturing the images of your life, but tired of carrying the heavy camera or camcorder, then the MOTOZINE ZN5 can be your liberator!
Pros: It's absurdly slick-looking. CrystalTalk tech really does work, the call clarity is ridiculous. Best call clarity I've ever had in a phone. Same goes for the camera- that Kodak 5MP arguably takes the best pictures I've ever seen. The phone can do SO MUCH. It even transfers pictures, video, and music back and forth over USB like it's nothing. And, it's really easy and quick to use as long as you consult the instructions as necessary.
Cons: The only possible problem I see on this phone FOR SOME PEOPLE is that the keys may be too close too one another for someone with stubby fingers :) But, I'm a 6' male and it works perfect for me... so you decide.
Other Thoughts: My favorite of the new phones on the market, both in form and function. I am now, once again, a picture-taker thanks to this phone.

Did not like at first

Pros: Good+ camera (although not great by any means); great reception; great battery life; FM radio (which I thought would be useless... it turned out to be pretty nifty); Sleek design... super slim; great screen; wi-fi (although see cons as well); very convenient lock button;
Cons: Slow sometimes (hangs when trying to work menu); as another reviewer stated, the lens cover slides open sometimes in my pocket (I mean c'mon, Moto... how hard would it have been to put a proper lens cover on there?!); using wi-fi, phone said my plan didn't allow me to access internet (what?!... it's Wi-Fi!!!) although I suspect there's a way around this that I've been too lazy to find; FM Radio won't play over BT headset (another thing which I suspect there is a work-around for); difficult to text with, but no phone w/o a dedicated keyboard is; after adding then deleting email account, still got notifications for a phantom account... very annoying until solved (by adding acct. again, then turning off notifications).
Other Thoughts: I didn't like this phone at first. I bought it for my girlfriend who needed a pocket camera and a new phone, but after she seemed less than enthused, I just bought her a dedicated pocket cam and kept the phone for myself, grudgingly. It's quickly become my favorite phone ever. Even with all the cons, it's a great phone for the 2.5 C-Bills I got it for (without contract)-- it's easy to make/receive calls, it's got a *decent* camera, has great battery life and a pretty screen... so all my priorities are taken care of.

Cons: It's not a standard mini-usb connector. Would it kill Motorola to just use the regular one? The keyboard is more 'meh' than 'con' but I'll out it in here.
Other Thoughts: This was a huge step up from my old Razr. I love it. MMS doesn't work on it, but that's due to my provider (old Cell One plan/SIM) and not the phone.

Solid Phone Great Camera
Reviewed By: BK Steve on 11/23/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Call quailty is as good as a it gets. I usually avoid Motorola because of past reception problems I noticed on other phones. This one is reliable and crystal clear. Music player and 5 MP Kodak flash camera are unbelievably good for something so thin, light and inexpensive. FM radio is good but you must use supplied headphones because receiver is built into it. Convenient switch for keypad lock instead of a sequence of keys.
Cons: MicroSD slot is beneath the battery so you have to shut the phone off to remove it. Processor seems underpowered. There is a delay at times after pressing buttons. WiFi although it works, must be selected for individual apps. It's not automatic and the phone won't won't run Opera Mini.
Other Thoughts: Good looking. Great call quality and one of the best cameras on any phone.

Decent phone, could be better

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: 5mp camera definitely comes in handy all the time. MicroSD port is nice to have. Phone came free with new plan. WiFi capable. Plays MP3's. Good call quality.
Cons: Despite the camera having 5mp, it's really only useful outside. It seems like no matter what the lighting conditions are inside, the pictures just never turn out that great in comparison to some of Sony's 5mp camera phones. The phone will restart if you set it down too hard and sometimes if you just hit the keys too hard. MP3 player is kind of annoying to use, this feature is much better on the ROKR. Some applications will install but then give errors when you try and open them, and wont let you give them security to access internet, etc. WiFi browser is pretty bad, doesn't work for most pages i visit which makes the feature pretty useless. Phone was fast and responsive first week of ownership, since then it's just gotten slower and slower, sometimes hanging for long periods of time. Also I couldn't get the phone to work with any of my computers running XP or Vista, but moto software is always like this. Have to transfer files by connecting card directly.
Other Thoughts: I guess I wasn't expecting much from a free phone, but the price without contract is pretty steep (more than the ROKR for some reason, almost as much as a G1!). I have now switched back to my ROKR and will just set this one aside as a backup phone. This phone isn't that bad, but don't expect much from the WiFi feature. Also I have had issues with getting it to charge. The rubber cover for the usb port on the phone gets in the way I think, you really have to jam the cable in there in order to get it to charge, and if it gets moved at all it will stop charging - this gets frustrating when it's plugged into a car charger and keeps going out of charging every time you take a turn.
