Keep in touch with your friends by using AOL, Yahoo!, instant messaging services, or you can send emails and text messages. When not messaging your friends, you can surf the web.
The phone is designed to help keep you safe and legal. Instead of holding it to your ear you can use a Bluetooth hands free device or the built in speakerphone. Voice-dialing lets you do it all without touching the phone.
Pros: Thin, nice looking and popular quad band phone. It has T-mobile branding but it is unlocked. An O2 SIM card worked without a problem.
Cons: Battery cover doesn't quite match the phone color. T-mobile start-up screen and icon remain.
Other Thoughts: Technically it is a V3r, not V3 but the features are the same.

Pros: Phone works with ATT simm card which wasn't apparent from other reviews. Phone works fine, however, out of the box you have to first fully charge it, otherwise it won't call out. I thought it was defective and called the support line which started an RMA process. My Bad! after the full charge everything was fine.
Cons: Branded with T-Mobile all over it but that's a very minor issue.
Other Thoughts: Good purchase. I'm going to buy another for myself since the first one wen't to my wife.

Pros: Worked fine with my AT&T sim card out of the box after charging. No battery issues yet. Good voice and audio quality. Nice loud speaker, good for outdoors.
Cons: Like some others, mine was branded T-mobile. Only issue is on power up I get a 453 Error Invalid Number text. I found the T-mobile embedded code sends a message on power up. Could fix it by re-flashing with AT&T code.
Other Thoughts: Old european stock, comes with european charger and US prong adapter. No regrets, though. Newegg shipping was very prompt.

Pros: For the cost its a very good basic phone. If you have T-Mobile for your carrier you might be in luck.
Cons: If your carrier is AT&T and you use the sim card from At&t, you are out of luck for internet service. There is no browser for e-mail service so forget it. As for sending and receiving any kind of messages that are common everyday use, keep dreaming because it won't happen . This phone is only for emergency replacements and not for regular everyday uses.
Other Thoughts: Even if you have a T-Mobile account this phone should only be considered for short term replacement and not for long term use.

Pros: Good phone for the T-Mobile basic voice service plan I have. Bought one last year that was branded T-Mobile, and it works great. I had one years ago that worked great too, so I replaced my T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl with it last year due to reliability issues with the Pearl.
Cons: Current lot that Newegg has is branded AT&T. This was a con for me since I have T-Mobile and didn't want to see the AT&T or Cingular menus.
Other Thoughts: According to PDA Giant (the supplier), this current lot of V3's that Newegg is selling is software branded for AT&T and cannot be changed. It is unlocked so it will work with multiple providers, but you will see AT&T logos and functionality. Check with PDA Giant as they recieve lots from different vendors from time to time.
