1 out of 5 eggsSturdy physically, but not functionally

Pros: Cheap, not delicate, decent keypad for a 12 key, good speaker phone volume.

Cons: Bulky. Ring tone and text message alert change to the reminder tone on their own even though other sounds are selected. Reselecting the desired tones or rebooting the phone don't help. No control of outside display content, brightness, or timeout. Bluetooth periodically loses and regains connection with headset, same headset maintains constant connection with a Moto ZN5. Display too small to be useful for anything other than making calls. Call quality and signal strength average at best. No camera, no frills.

Other Thoughts: If you need a cheap phone to make calls and possibly set calendar alarms with then this might be what you're looking for. Most people would be very unsatisfied with it's bulky design and lackluster feature set. Bluetooth and alert tone instability made it too annoying to keep using.

5 out of 5 eggsPhone for Inexpensive Calling in Europe

Pros: Exceptional value. Bought for frequent trips to Europe. Basic phone. Buy a sim card before you leave or in Europe and save on outrageous roaming fees with US carriers.

Cons: None. It is a basic phone!

Other Thoughts: Ten months of flawless, inexpensive use in Italy, France, Switzerland and England.

5 out of 5 eggsdecent handset

Pros: The price. Does exactly what I need. Needed to have a handset for those overseas trips because we are well aware of the obscene roaming costs. It works perfectly

Cons: none yet, Hope I don't have to revisit this review to update

Other Thoughts: Shipping was "newegg" fast. There was no carrier badge which was a bonus. Looks like it came straight from the manufacturer. ( I know it didn't)

5 out of 5 eggsA sold phone has good value

Pros: It is a good phone with great value comparing to its price and has everything I need! Some reviewers here put it right: this thing is for parent or seniors. I don’t need any other features beyond a phone.
This phone has very good battery life, easy to use. It is well designed, solid and feels comfortable.

Cons: The only thing I don’t like is when I am making a call, some number keys I pressed don’t have same beep sound as other keys. That made me wondering whether the number had been entered. But this is no big deal for me.

Other Thoughts: I bought this phone because my Motorola Razor finally broke after six years of use (the phone still working, but battery charger port had worn out made the phone unable to charge the battery). I would say the Razor is pretty tough! I “inherited” the Razor from my son three years ago after he “abused” it for three years. I hope this phone will be as good as Razor in terms of reliable and long life.
Thanks Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone

Pros: Good battery life, durable, BLUETOOTH, reliable

Cons: No music player, limited storage, no camera, one phone number per contact name

Other Thoughts: I have used my v195 for over two years, and it still works just as well as the day I got it. I also a few friends with the same phone, some of whom have been using theirs longer than I have. Although it is not the most feature-packed phone on the market, I would bet it one of the most reliable.
My phone has been dropped, scuffed, used and abused, just like everyone else's phone. However, it still holds a charge nearly as well as they day I got it (original battery), and none of the keys have become worn down or sticky. If you are/have a teenager, this is the phone for you. Short of dropping it in the water (I haven't actually tested this, but it seems to kill most phones) this phone will survive anything they throw at it. Plus, it's inexpensive enough that you can replace it if they do destroy it.
Despite its shortcomings, this phone is one of the few GSM phones on the market that provides bluetooth integration for its price-range. I don't regret buying it at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for parents

Pros: Pretty basic phone that does what it's supposed to. Unlocked phone, slid a T-Mobile SIM in it, works fine so far. Speaker feels a bit cartoony, but sound quality seems fine. It likes military time for some reason.

Cons: Hope I didn't blow the speaker >.< A music player and a microSD slot would have been a nice plus, but for parents and people who just want a phone, this is great. OH! If you have the My Faves service with T-Mobile, this won't display them, but they still exist. Just use your computer to change them if you need to.

Other Thoughts: I hope it lasts. It was good for the price when I picked it up on the Shell Shocker. Thanks Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsStarter phone

Pros: It's a great little phone. If you have a teen who you just need to give an electric leash this is the phone for you.

Cons: Not very many features. Believe it or not you will want a picture phone feature and some data features among other things.

It's on shell shocker and it's not even that cheep right now. This should be like $19.99

Other Thoughts: If price is your thing this could be a good deal. This is the one I want to replace right now, but it has held up for two years. It is very durable.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, no-nonsense phone

Pros: Good phone, haven't found any quirks in over a year. Sound is excellent. No camera (which is what I wanted). A great straight ahead phone for people who still use phones for talking (imagine that).

Cons: None yet
