Disclaimer
Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered "tampered with" or "defective".

3 out of 5 eggsGrrrrr

Pros: - The keyboard is nice.
- Touch screen is a nice feature.
- The GPS feature seems to work pretty well.
- Cool form factor.

Cons: - BATTERY LIFE. I've never seen a phone with such a poor battery. I just don't get it.
I really don't. Keep a charger handy.
If use the GPS, you're done lol.
Stream Pandora, you're done.
Send a lot of texts, you guessed it. Done.
- You can't upgrade the OS so it's stuck at 2.1.
- The camera is awful and pretty much useless.
- The notification light when you get a text or email isn't very good. The few home buttons blink but they blink white and the buttons are white to begin with so I have to literally stare at my phone for a few seconds to wait and see (not like a BlackBerry for example that will blink with a red LED).
- I've had numerous connection issues with Facebook and other apps. I pretty much use my company phone for everything from an entertainment standpoint.
- It has also rebooted on me 2 times in one day and I'm unsure why.

Other Thoughts: I have an iPhone my job provided but I wanted a personal phone with my own number, etc.
I went with StraightTalk and bought this phone because I wanted a phone with a decent keyboard.
I do very much like the keyboard but there is one strange quirk.
If I type in a symbol such as "$" it automatically places it one space back.
Very frustrating. So if I type:
"I paid $20 for the bag of dope."
It will show as:
"I paid$..."
If you try to be slick and add 2 spaces to compensate it makes a "." lol. You have to literally move the cursor back and add the space.
I don't know, maybe it's just my phone or an Android 2.1 issue.

5 out of 5 eggsMotorola FlipOut

Pros: Stylish, easy upload and installation for apps, very convenient keyboard, very responsive touch screen

Cons: Flip causing the phone to turn off, in the beginning I thought the phone is rebooting, but after I tried to open the keyboard phone went dead I turned it on and tried to close the keyboard it went dead again, and this fault persist, so most probably it is defect for the phone I bought. Will ask Newegg to replace it

4 out of 5 eggsNeat little phone

Pros: Has good weight to it. The hinge mechanism is nice and sturdy. Touch screen is very responsive. The camera has pretty good quality and also takes video. The included navigation system on the phone is very cool.

Cons: The items shown in the picture are not all included. It came with the regular black back panel only ( No White, Green, or Red ones as shown.) Did not come with earphones that are required to listen to the radio app in the phone. The batter gets really warm after using for a bit. The WiFi is a tad weak.

4 out of 5 eggsNot much to complain about

Pros: Great voice quality*, compact size, good camera, lots of apps available.

The center of the keyboard buttons are raised to avoid pressing a neighbor by mistake.

Cons: System slows down and battery gets really warm in Angry Birds unless Airplane Mode is enabled.

Screen size makes internet navigation difficult.

Other Thoughts: *I use this phone on AT&T's network.
