4 out of 5 eggsSleek, elegany, sexy, powerful, light... there are too many words you can describe this phone

Pros: Great screen, amazing light (compared to HTC, samsung phones and lighter that iphone), 8mp camera, getting the new ics update from Google, elegant design (everyone who sees the phone compliments it), big screen, active noise cancelations so good for noisy areas, good quality product from a great company.

Cons: Phone is running 1ghz single processor when market has dual phones coming out, phone has too many bloatwares (software that manufacturer put that runs in the background hence rooting the phone helps).

Other Thoughts: get this phone I highly doubt you will regret the decision, it is one hot looking piece of gadget.

Pros: it's fast, light weight, thin, looks great and unique with its arced design, comes with 8gb memory card, has a big bright and nicely detailed screen with the mobile bravia engine, and the best camera phone on the market with exhumed r sensor.

Cons: internal memory is very small at just 320mb and the battery life drains fast

Other Thoughts: It's getting the update to android 4.0 ice cream sandwich in march 2012

5 out of 5 eggsBest phone i have ever owned

Pros: Sexy, i mean it is not like the other phones, it has a sexy curve to it. it is BEYOND eligant. Fast, relaiable and best of all light. battery life for what it does is really impressive. connecting to SONY TVs is EASY... the camera is mind blowing, it really is.

Cons: the glass is not gorilla, not much accessories, 2 hours for a full charge. no dual processor.

Other Thoughts: I really recommend this phone to people that are not interested in IPHONE 4, it feels half the weight, and what APPLE had spent talking about response times for the camera is already in this phone, cause iphone4 S uses the very same sony 8.1 mega pixel camera.

2 out of 5 eggsbuy it if you can charge it during the day or don't use it often

Pros: Big Bright Screen
Very Thin and Light
Acceptable camera

Newegg's phone should run faster than those from Rogers or other carriers - those phones come with XX Lock, OO Lock, and tons of Running services/apps you CANNOT kill and remove.

in one line: too light too small

Battery capacity can't support full brightness and long time use.
Even at low brightness and BRAVIA off, the battery still can't support intensive gaming or web browsing.
Unless you charge it during the day, you'll probably run out of battery at 7pm, assuming your day starts at 8am.
(or if you use it like using a digital camera, then you run out at 2pm)
in one word: fragile

Screen surface is obviously softer than dust or sand. I got deep scratches on screen by wiping dust off it during my first week of use.

The speaker and loudspeaker aren't loud enough.

When people are upgrading to 2.3.6, you're getting 2.3.3 "latest" update from Sony.

OK for single app; very very bad for multiple services.
Run gmail, google map, skype, facebook, a browser with 3~4 tabs, play music. Then you want to make a phone call? please wait for 10++ seconds for the dial p

Other Thoughts: Cons continued:
I know there is a SD card you can save XX GB.
But a lager internal storage is really needed:
1. Many apps can't be moved to SD card.
2. More unused internal space means faster app switch, since it can be used to swap apps out of RAM.

Other thoughts:

I can see from the product design, sony wanted something that outperforms iphone4 on spec chart.

Xperia arc indeed does so: bigger , thinner, lighter, cheaper, than the iPhone4.

However, the bad choice of material and insufficient battery means this phone is only good for

Who always has a USB power source, never goes into dusty environment, and buys protective gears for the phone.

Who doesn't use it, or only uses it as a PHONE ( so why don't buy a cheaper, old-fashioned Nokia)?

Nevertheless, xperia arc is one of the best "smart"phones available at the price range.

But if you just want something to play with, for a $549.99 budget, I suggest you buy a 499 iPad2 or $299 PS Vita

4 out of 5 eggsGreat phone, well built.

Pros: This phone is slim, well designed, and comfortable in hands. The 8M mega pixel camera is great for taking pictures. The muti-touch screen is responsive; I did not feel any lag or frozen so far.

Cons: Battery life is shorter than I expected, I need to recharge it daily with moderate usage. With Android system’s background programs and bright screen, the battery runs out fast. The plastic back cover looks cheap sometimes. Due to lack of the front camera, it makes video calling program (Fring, Skype) difficult, because people cannot see you if you face the screen.

Other Thoughts: I am using T-mobile (USA), the 3g is not support by T-mobile's network. The only 3g you can use is AT&T, buyer from T-Mobile need to be aware.
