Blackberry Bold Black 3G Unlocked GSM Smart Phone with Wi-Fi & GPS (9700)

Pros: HD Cam is good, music, video, also readable ms office. There all great aps and softwares built in... BUT

Cons: If it's a multimedia phone that has all these great features - Doesn't it mean to have a Great batter too? Ever since I baught this phone the batter dies as soon as I record a vid. That's like c'mon Or When I watch something on Youtube for about 2 mins the max, battery drains and phone shutsdown.

Pros: Phone arrived fast and like new, outstanding product, great investment.

Pros: Blackberry bold 9700 is a great phone. No question about that. I need not highlight any of its awsome features. My one star is for recertified bold 9700, which I purchased to save some money.

Cons: Recertified blackberry sent to me looked actually a used (infact over-used) handset. Even the craftsmanship was faulty as there was a big hole between battery door and the main body. Door was replaced by another used and scratched door of different color after some 15 days and my 2 reminders. Newegg return policy doesnt allow you to return the unlocked phones on cosmetic defects. However, such issues are important when you are spending so much on these high end phones. Btw, warranty provider for these phones is DGL and not newegg. So they directed me to DGL, who never replied to my mail on this issue. Newegg didnt take responsibility about this purchase initially and insisted on the fact that I have to talk to DGL directly. After over a dozen of email exchange with newegg, they agreed to help me in getting a replacement handset with a condition that they will not assure what accessories can be missing from the replacement product, even if they are essential.

Other Thoughts: My review is not against Newegg as they later on helped me with the issue. I just want to share my experience with potential buyers that condition of the recertified handset can be actually bad for which you dont have any control and it wont be easy to get rid of it.

Pros: it works perfectly fine, i have more than a week using it, and it's working as if it was a new cellphone.. i;m from Venezuela and it works fine in my country.,

Cons: it just came with the charger, no manuals, no cable data, no nothing.. but the cellphone worth it. the only problem that i have, is with the charger, they send me a charger that never works, but i call them and they are going to send me a new one... meanwhile i bought another charger, and my cellphone is working :)

Other Thoughts: i love it!..

Pros: With all refurb products, you need good luck, this is a great smart phone, but if I knew. I would have just spent an extra $80 and get a new one elsewhere. Remember no refunds for this refurb product at Newegg, so potential buyers you have been warned.

Cons: Found out the "K" key wasn't working, I had to pay for shipping to get fixed with warranty company in US then when they sent it back to Canada. I was charged an additional $50 in brokerage fees. Overall, it cost me more to buy a refurb then to buy a new one.

Other Thoughts: I bought this on Newegg Canada and the repair company is in the US. Even though RIM (a Waterloo based Canadian Company) makes the Blackberry. How ridiculous is that?

Pros: ... none ...

Cons: ... the cellphone came with damage speaker, it just do not make any sound, no ringtones, no music, no alarm, no speaker mode when I am in a call, nothing... I have tried everything... restore the OS, take out the battery, change the profile, everything without any results...
Also the headphones jack is not working, and the lock button in the up-left part of the phone...

Other Thoughts: ... I am gonna call as soon as the customer support lines opens to ask for my money back, becouse they just do not work on weekends... how can you sell items like these? It is just outrageous...

Pros: Blackberry is always Blackberry
Excellent phone, no one can say it has been a refurb phone. I'm loving it!

Cons: It doesn´t come with data cable, but it is extremely cheap instead

Other Thoughts: If I would have to buy another one, I would do it again
