Pros: The first and most noticeable thing about this phone is its looks. very sexy. TouchFlo3D makes the phone very user friendly, unlike regular old Windows Mobile. i've read reviews saying that the phone is slow, but after a week of use i have not had any bad experiences. the tabs flow very smoothly. i run the phone on AT&T's 3G network and receive very good 3G service in most areas. i'm running radio version 1.00.25.08 and have had very few dropped calls. call clarity is pretty good. the Opera browser works very well. the only thing Safari has against it is the iPhone's multi-touch screen. the camera takes pretty decent quality pictures. at first i thought that the screen size would be too small, but the VGA screen makes everything super clear.
Cons: only thing i have against the phone right now is the on-screen keyboard. takes a while getting used to. and the screen turns off when you make a call. very annoying. its an easy fix but still annoying.
Other Thoughts: i wanted the first iPhone, wanted the 3G iPhone even more, but am very satisfied with the diamond. smaller than the iPhone but still has all the features i need and more.

Not perfect, but no phone is..
Reviewed By: on 11/28/2008
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Accelerometer, gps, bluetooth, wifi, music, video, graphic chip for 3d (COD anyone?), no limitation on what program you can install. It's a very nice looking phone. I don't find the interface slow at all, maybe mine is smarter? LOL
Cons: No phone is perfect, but the things I wish for:
1- No Front Camera: I'd like to know why they always remove the front cameras for US phones.. 2- No MicroSD Slot: 4GB is nice, and I can always transfer stuff online or through USB to another computer, but it'd be really nice to have MicroSD. I realize marketing comes to play but still.. 3- GPS is a little spotty..sometimes it works flawlessly, sometimes it doesn't. 4- I think the back panel slides off too easily, it should need some force, but it's rather sensitive and simply taking the phone out of my pocket will unlatch the back. I fixed this, but still.
Other Thoughts: The phone does what it should, nicely, and packaged in a very sexy and slim enclosure. I wonder how the Touch HD would stack up compared to this. For anyone considering this phone, it's a good phone, I absolutely love it. Also, the first few days the battery life will suck, horribly, but after a week or so, I can easily go 2-3 days on normal usage (exchange synching, gps, internet, camera).

Indecision
Reviewed By: burden on 10/17/2008
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: This thing is incredibly small and skinny. A true touchscreen! Although some will argue that multi-touch would be cool, HTC has come a long ways with their new TouchFLO 3D. iPhones don't multi-task. It's as simple as that.
Cons: Only 3 things i can call a con. The rest is just a rant.
- No expandable memory - The music app keeps the screen on and drains the battery - no packaged GPS software
The ladder is easily solved by installing Google maps. The audio issue is solved by using Windows Media Player instead. But i'm bummed i can't use this like a media player. 4 GB is impressive, none the less. Speed sometimes becomes a problem when navigating through the menus since everything is so very animated, but you can tell it's working hard. How many phones actually utilize the 3D GPU they sold you?
Other Thoughts: Works as a cell phone too?!!! WOW?!

Good if you like dropped calls
Reviewed By: DougQuaid on 1/25/2010
Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Beautiful interface very responsive touch features feels and looks great. Stylish sleek piano black finish. it kinda multitasks.
Cons: I travel alot because of the line of work i am in and my work assigned me this phone here are the problems i had with the phone. Constantly drops calls even when at 4 bars. At first i thought it was a At&t's problem then i unlocked my phone and used it with tmobile and still dropped alot of my calls (within atts and tmobile edge network). thinking it was a edge network issue
I then switched to Verizon and out of curiosity i picked this phone knowing i might have problems but my curiosity got the best of me I was always in 3G and didn't experience the drop calls issues like before but as soon as i was near the mexican border it would switch to Mexico's 3G network without notice! tried really hard to find a turn off roaming feature guess what this phone doesn't have that feature so i constantly had to turn off my cellular data network in general just to prevent the phone from roaming to Mexico's 3G missing alot of calls.
Other Thoughts: Do not recommend it if you are on GPRS or edge network. Do not recommend it for traveling because of the roam issue Phone also crashes religiously when switching from landscape view to portrait view. Even with XDA developers not a whole lot of homebrew or thirdpart programs out there for the phone!
bought a blackberry 9700 instead

AT&T?
Reviewed By: lhunt on 5/20/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: I notice in the specifications page that it says that this phone is on the 900/1900/2100MHz GSM bands, and the 850/2100MHz UTMS bands. In the customer reviews, one review mentions that the phone comes up with the following: "under Phone Settings I see the 2 choices...AUTO or UMTS(850+1900)+GSM(850+1900)." Can anyone who has purchased the phone recently confirm what frequency it is running at?
Cons: See above
