Pros: Large 3.8" and crisp 800 x 480 display. You can see so much more on the phone versus the Touch Diamond2, original Diamond, or the Samsung Omnia.
TouchFLO 3D is the improved version of the one found on the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro but not as updated as the Touch Diamond2. Still you can customize tabs, and the new Stock tab is found. TouchFlo 3D looks quite pretty on such a big display.
All the features you find on a Windows Mobile smartphone.
5MP Camera with no flash and front camera.
MicroSD card slot for additional storage (8gb card is provided).
WiFi and all the other connectivity features.
Icons on the phone or made bigger for easier touch navigation.
Comes with screen protector, 3.5mm earphone with speakers, USB Cable, charger, etc..
Can install the provided "CE Star" software for Chinese/ Japanese input & viewing support.
Cons: No Direction Pad.
Phone is kind of awkward and bulky to hold in hand when you put on a Silicon case (but is just as wide as the iPhone when you don't put on the case).
Call quality is not as clear as a regular cell phone.
The way to install software and apps is not as elegant as the iPhone/ iPod Touch's app store. I still find it easier to play multimedia on the iPod Touch rather than this device.
No multitouch, so you zoom in on web pages differently.
Other Thoughts: The box that came with it is well-designed.
I decided to bought this phone because of the good display and the Touch Flo software on Windows Mobile is more mature than the Nokia N97 and 5800.
I find the Touch Diamond2's screen too compacted with pixels on the small 3.2" display.
I'm not sure if you can get a WinMo 6.5 upgrade for this phone.
Good overall phone, but I just find it not as easy to use as the iPhone/ iPod Touch.

Great phone, needs tweaking
Reviewed By: Snootch on 8/2/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: -Big, crisp display -Highly Customizable -Many comm options (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UMTS,etc.) -Can use as modem for laptop via USB or BT -two-thumb ease on on-screen keyboard -Opera Browser
Cons: -Resistive touchscreen not as responsive as capacitive (iphone) - Shipped WinMo 6.0/6.1 ROM is slow, flash a custom 6.5 ROM and device really flies. - Back must be removed to access MicroSD card
Other Thoughts: I've owned this phone since Oct of 08, and it really shines, however it does require some customization to see it's full potential. to learn how to customize and flash ROMs, take a look at xda-developers dot com, everything is there. Can't wait until someone cracks Android for the HD, then it will be a helluva speed demon!

Great Phone (with some tweaking)
Reviewed By: J on 7/2/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: -Nice weight -Very tweak-able -Great for business implementation (Mobile Office, MS Exchange, etc) -Good performance -Giant screen -Very responsive touch screen (with the hotfix) -Long battery life
Cons: -No 3G support (The Telstra version is rumored to work on the 3G network) -Not the best out of the box (you need a semi high understanding of technology to get it tweaked to unlock its full potential)
Other Thoughts: This has been a solid phone for me. I'm a gadget junkie who loathes Apple products (my wife has the new Iphone 3G S) and I couldn't buy this fast enough. Out-of-the-box, it was a little clunky and had some issues. After installing a different Rom on the phone (Duttys 3.9 Rom), the thing flies and very stable. You can do so much with this phone when it comes customization. My wife has the new Iphone 3G S, and though very easy to use, lacks any customization. The main issue I have with this phone is the lack of 3G support which I knew about before buying the phone. The edge network runs fast and there is always WiFi support. This does support HSDPA/WCDMA, so whenever AT&T implements that network this will be a beast of a phone. Of course by the time they release that network I would have probably moved on to another bigger/better phone ;)
