4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice in outlook and very fast when in motion.

Cons: Disappointed in the battery functionality. Whether an old battery was thrown in my order or what, I do not know. But I had to charge the battery after every two hours' usage.

2 out of 5 eggsKind of Disappointed

Pros: Great Phone, A great company, Really fast, Unlocked SUPER AWESOME PHONE

Cons: Sadly the say I got this phone, the speakers and microphone stoped working randomly, I mean they stopped working completely, I had to do a reboot all the time and THAT IS NOT NORMAL... So I have returned my package because of this.

5 out of 5 eggsMy first Windows Phone 7

Pros: Windows Phone 7 OS runs smoothly on this hardware, very intuitive, tiles are easy to customize.
More than enough apps for a phone.
Solidly built.

Cons: Speakers are more of a gimmick than anything else (but music sounds great through headphones).
Battery life isn't the best.

Other Thoughts: This is my second HTC phone with a Windows OS (the first had Windows Mobile 5.5) and I like their hardware, very durable. I opted for this phone (from another vendor) rather than buy the new Lumia 900 from because I've been an AT&T customer for years and already had an active SIM card, so didn't have to lock into a two-year contract. If I had been a new customer I would have gone for the Lumia 900 and the contract --- less money up front.

4 out of 5 eggsA good phone!!!

Pros: A good phone! the OS is very fast!! The user interface is very convenient and easy to use. Much better than the old 'start button' on Windows 6.5! Everything you need is on your screen when you turn it on! All your e-mail accounts, Texts, UPS or other tracking info, facebook, twitter, any other social media outlets, as well as your Windows live account/page that you can create to manage all of the others. That way anyway that someone attempts to contact you, it appears on the front page of your WP7 phone!! No more having to log onto each or even checking each app link on your iPhone. You can post one comment on your windows live account and have it distributed throughout them all!! Its easy to play music, videos or stream songs and videos online. Everything is very easy to use and very user oriented. It also has a speaker that slides out and a kick stand to prop it up so you can watch videos on the go!!! Its light and small so its easy to carry.

Cons: For those of you that saw HTC & Windows together and expected the best phone ever made, well keep waiting. Its a real good phone, but the closed OS that windows opted for this time around sucks BIG TIME!! If all you want is a simple phone that does cool things, this is a great one. But for those of you that a have a few more business or tech needs, this phone is alot like the iPhone in that you can only do what Microsoft allows you to do, and Microsoft doesn't provide responsible support. I owned this phone for almost a year before they released an update allowing cut & paste as a feature, then about another 11 months for other updates. They dont seem to care whether or not you ever buy another Windows phone. The screen is terribly small considering this phone is touted a media phone with surround sound & kick stand for easy viewing. In the end Windows made an iPhone without the support or applications offered on the iOS by Apple.

Other Thoughts: Microsoft adopted the concept of Apple, 'we will make it real easy to do so, so little, but impossible to do what you want'! The phone looks good behaves well, no real serious functionality issues, just a closed system that restricts what you can do. The WP7 & iPhone are just like the iPod & the Zune. They are virtually the same thing, but why buy a Zune when there is infinitely more support for the iPod, not to mention everyone has one too? I thought that Microsoft learned their lesson with Zune's failure but I guess not. In the end, its a good phone & if you dont mind the restrictions that even iPhone users dont mind & the price sounds fair to you (it sounds fair to me, I paid more than $500 when it first came out!!) then you will like it alot. P.S. since it first came out most, if not just about all of the apps for iPhone and Android phones can be found for the WP7, it just took forever to get there!!!

3 out of 5 eggsA Beautiful Disaster.

Pros: Impressive specs. Camera takes descent pictures, the screen is bright and has great color. Windows phone 7 interface is well designed and easy to use. The slide out surround speaker provides some of the clearest sound available on a mobile device. Zune software is easy to use and is great at helping to organize music & video libraries.

Cons: Too many to list, but here are the most annoying ones. Phone may be unlocked but some features only work on the AT&T network. No bluetooth file transfer, no expandable storage, limited app market, can only transfer files from pc with zune software, and can't download files directly to phone because there's no built in file manager. The whole design is similar to iPhone and imo that's not a good thing.

Other Thoughts: The device functions well when browsing the web, messaging, checking email, listening to music and viewing pictures or video. Beyond these basic functions WP7 is a huge step backwards from the WM 6.5 OS. It's completely mystifying why MS decided to go with such a closed OS. If their goal was to imitate a popular competitor they should have chosen Android instead of iPhone, as it's open nature is rapidly taking marketshare away from closed mobile operating systems like iOS and WP7. Hopefully MS will fix these problems with their next update. Until then the only way around these limitations is to void the warranty and jailbreak the device.
