4 out of 5 eggsBetter

Pros: Lots of features, big screen

it seems to be a pretty good quality phone so far other than the little con I had with the first one.

Cons: The first one I received was DOA, the phone turned on but it couldn’t connect to any networks and after resetting the phone, manually entering the carriers information and spending a few hours on the phone with customer service they said it was a defective handset

4 out of 5 eggsGood Phone

Pros: The phone is quick, feels good in the hands. The screen is nice, the higher resolution helps. I'm coming from Samsung Galaxy S, definately notice the improvement in screen real estate. I couldn't tell much difference with SuperAMOLED. The battery life is good, it can make it through the day on normal use. Excessive calls or data activity will drain it quickly, as with any phone. Charges a lot quicker than the Galaxy S.

Cons: The USB connection being on the lower left side of the phone makes it awkware to hold while plugged in. This is a HTC thing in general, while most other phone manufacturers have it on the top or bottom. I use the phone as a GPS unit when traveling and with the cable sticking out, it makes the unit hard to stand upright to view. Considering purchasing right angle usb cable to solve this.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this phone as HTC has said this will get ICS. Not sure how much of that I'll notice with the Sense overlay. I find this overlay a little better than the Samsung Touchwiz.

1 out of 5 eggsT Mobile SIMM Unlock team sucks

Pros: this is my first smart phone so I have nothing to compare it to.

Cons: I have been trying for the last 7 days to get my phone unlocked. The first time I faxed them the sales receipt and shipping receipts, it was rejected by the SIMM unlock team.

I called and said resubmitted it, this time I circled the invoice number on both the shipping invoice and the sales receipt as well as the phone part number on both invoices so they could easily verify the product was sold and shipped to me. Again it was rejected by the sales team, this time they told me that I had to have the phone activated for 60 days with a $10 balance before they would unlock it. Well I was leaving for Germany in less than 10 days after my second attempt.

I called them a 3rd time and told T-Mobile customer support I was moving to Germany for a job and needed the phone unlocked, again they rejected my request to unlock the phone. Now here I am in Germany with a freaking paper weight that I cant do anything with.

Other Thoughts: This phone has been nothing but problems and now I am working international with a phone that T-Mobile will not unlock.

Do not buy this product or deal with the T-Mobile customer support. Unless of course you like dealing with customer service issues, such as personnel who do not even know their own rules for unlocking phones. I am not angry with Newegg, but now i have to pay out of my own pocket to get this phone unlocked because T-Mobile is staffed with personnel at the customer service department that are worthless.

5 out of 5 eggsgood phone

Pros: Very fast phone, came with class 4 SD card that benchmarked better than a larger class 10 that i ordered.

Cons: Low battery life and have to hold it upside down to get good signal if you're in a lower signal place. Why don't manufacturers improve this? Can get 4g if held upside down, or only edge if held the way its intended to be.

Other Thoughts: Get a screen protector

5 out of 5 eggsIf you know tech, you won't care if you have to work a little to make it work

Pros: Plain and Simple. Got the box, opened it. put my tmobile germany Iphone micro sim in with an adapter (that was tricky). turned it on, got immediate call service. As with any unlocked android phone I've ever had, when you first unbox it you can only make basic calls - of course if it's actually unlocked - if not you do like the guy above and call tmobile with the IMEI and the Newegg invoice and that should fix it. This is my 7th Android phone through newegg. So, any way, all i did was go online and google - - hehe google- - APN Settings, because the APN settings are sort of like your Phone and Network Settings on your internet Router. You configure them to your network and voila...amazing fast blazing brand new Tmobile europe 4g connection.

Cons: read my other review

5 out of 5 eggsRead CNET Review First

Pros: Screen, Gorilla Glass, dual core, 4g, android, Metal Unibody structure, quality, cameras, HDMI output, Speed, Speed, Speed - I've done direct comparisons to 3 other phones, HD2 running android 2.3.3, Galaxy S II, and Iphone 4, aside from the galaxy's NVIDIA processor scoring higher on the benchmark the sensation destroys everything out there. Plus, I'd rather have Sense than the iphone copy touchwiz.

Cons: Abismal battery life - did have to buy an 1800 mAh battery to get about 2 days of hard hard usage out of it before recharge. and when I say hard hard usage, I'm talking hours of phone calls, tons of weather checks, about 10 hours of gaming, three hours of GPS, over 4g, internet "research".

Other Thoughts: So I bought it, cause I'm a fan of HTC and the tech was appealing..I'm upgrading from Iphone 4. In direct comparison, no other phone comes as close as the Sensation's QHD display to the Retina Display. In most instances the QHD looked no different - prolly the webpage encoding. The battery does suck, but you can get a good day out of it if you are smart with it. Used Google Nav over 4G this weekend...about 30 tiems faster than my $500 navigon GPS. The 1 GB avail mem... don't know why people say it's suckie...I have been throwing apps at this thing and I still have about 500 mb's left. Camera kills the Iphone and Galaxy S II which my friend owns. We did direct side by side tests of front and rear cameras and the Sensation won everytime, call quality is the best I've had and the speaker phone is about 10 times louder than my Iphone. Compared it to my wife's HD2 running Android 2.3.3... you can definitely see the improvements. Gotta love where these things are going.

3 out of 5 eggsNot really UNLOCKED

Pros: I have used the phone before, which is why I decided to buy it.Pretty good features and camera options, especially if you want to use skype.

Cons: You have to call the manufacture/seller and do something with it (email the IMEI number and the newegg invoice and then call back again). It is not fully unlocked. It comes on a TMobile box. and it doesn't seem to be new since the box is open.
