Learn more about the BLU T162

Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered "tampered with" or "defective".

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: Got it when RAM was cheaper about 5 months ago, so I only spent 32.99, but still. The RAM is very good. Used to replace memory in my MacBook

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsNo predictive text input

Pros: Bought this as a stopgap measure until the Nexus 4 is back in stock.

-Light, but it feels like it could take a beating
-Almost instant boot
-Nice options and feature set (more on that in the cons section)

Cons: -NO PREDICTIVE TEXT INPUT. Newegg NEEDS to remove that from the description. I've checked around online and have been through hopefully all of the menu trees. Nothing. No indication of predictive text input anywhere. I'm planning to look online for a firmware update or something, but it does not ship with predictive text input.

Other Thoughts: -FM tuner and audio player are nice, but really kinda pointless without a 3.5mm headphone jack. I'm not going to use a mini-USB to 3.5mm adapter because chances are it's wither not going to work or I'm going to end up with mono playback. So, screw it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood phone for elder people, or as a backup.

Pros: this simple but functional phone, is great for elder people - buttons are well separated, the yellow color is bright and visible, flash light is perfect addition, as well as FM radio, which works without a headset. Dual SIM cards work perfectly with ATT and TMobile.

Cons: "Wish it would have a leash" - there is no way to put it on a charm cord or like that. It could be probably done if to use a cover, but I'm not aware on any so far.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for my grandmom and she likes it.

4 out of 5 eggsBlu Jenny Yellow

Pros: The phone is your basic talk/text phone with a camera/video function built in. The call quality is on par with most phones. Dual SIM cards seems a little pointless, but I suppose it's a nice option to have. The flashlight is an LED bulb on the top of the phone; a nice touch.

Cons: I only have two big problems with this phone. One, as far as I can tell, this phone doesn't support T9 word or any sort of speedy text input. This makes texting arduous. My phone from 1999 could out-type it. Another big feature that I feel is a basic necessity these days is being able to sync the time/date with the mobile provider. I'm using the same SIM card from my old phone, so that isn't the issue. For $30 I feel like I can't complain, but the construction is extremely light, and a bit "empty" feeling, although it does seem durable and sturdy. The camera is pretty bad, but on par with phones from the early 00s.

5 out of 5 eggsBlu-Click-lite Awesome!

Pros: Great call connectivity and sound quality, alarm clock for travel is so useful, so is the flasklight function which on the click is called "torch", inexpensive phone that has 2 sim slots for travel to different countries of for home and away sims.

Cons: none really except that some of the function locations in the menu were hard to locate.

Other Thoughts: This phone should be similar to my purchase but it is not a direct review. I loved the phone I purchased and wanted to leave a review since there are virtually no reviews for the Blu phones. I purchased the Blu click lite (now discontinued) for a trip to Poland. I wanted an inexpensive phone to be able to call family while there and coordinate our trip. We were there for a month and had no issues whatsoever! We purchased an Orange brand sim card for 20 Zloty (about $6.50 American dollars and that lasted until nearly the last 2 or 3 days so we added another $5 zloty worth of time till we left. Most of the time we would call and then have family call back. We were not using this to have conversations but rather to ask directions or coordinate which is what you really need a travel phone for. I also loved the alarm clock and torch (flashlight) functions. You can sms message from the phone and it is small and light. I was So pleased with the purchase!
