Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered “tampered with” or “defective”.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter, Faster, Stronger.

Pros: It's and android phone running 2.1 Froyo. It's a nice little phone. It has a memory card slot for music and other stuff. I have currently a 4 gig card that has apps and music on it. i bought this for $150, so its not bad.

Cons: The phone is slow. That being said, you'll noticed this only when you have tons of apps installed. That and when you try to type you have to wait at least 1 to 2 seconds maybe even longer when you type messages for texting. I currently use swype so i can type whole words out while seeing the path. It's much simpler that way.

When i back out of the phone it some times takes over 2 minutes to load icons. 2 minutes tops i should say.

Other Thoughts: there are a couple people who have had problems with this phone not charging. Within the first two months my phone did the same and i freaked out. It was overdue for neweggs return so instead i just cleaned the where the charger was plugged in with a Q-tip and used my computer to charge it. I haven't had the problem since.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent phone

Pros: Better battery life than the average android device
lots of apps
unlocked
easy to flash/root
cheap
FM radio

Cons: screensize
no GPU

Other Thoughts: I love this phone - it's not fast enough for the new 3d games on the market, but it can handle emulators (if you set them up correctly) and it runs angry birds/cut the rope :)

4 out of 5 eggsKnow what you need

Pros: It got me into the smartphone era without breaking the bank. Call quality is great, messaging and other normal uses are just fine. Love having an FM Radio.

Cons: Small screen, occasionally sluggish on resource-hungry apps or while multitasking. Look at the specs, not a surprise.

Other Thoughts: Check the frequencies if you want 3g data speeds. This phone WILL NOT WORK on T-Mobile's 3g network because they require BOTH the 1700 and 2100 mHz bands. 2g works just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Budget Android Phone

Pros: 1. Great features for the money
2. Capacitive screen
3. Wifi tethering
4. Great selection of market apps
5. Unlocked

Cons: 1. Battery life could be better
2. Can be sluggish at time

Other Thoughts: I bought this item to use as my overseas phone and seeing as how this phone has as much features as a $800.00 unlocked smartphone, I couldn't be more pleased. Of course this phone can't compare to a Samsung Galaxy S or Motorola Droid (in terms of speed) but for a $150ish price point, the Ideos is certainly gonna give budget Android phones a run for their money.

1 out of 5 eggsBattery Stinks

Pros: No Pros if the battery cannot hold the charge for more than 2 hours straight out of the box.

Cons: No refund. Only replacement. I will never buy one like it or recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little phone

Pros: Great cap. touch screen. High quality phone for the price. Android 2.2 (froyo.) That's very important. 2.2 is a large leap forward from 2.1 and expecially 1.6 or older. Very small and light and easy to carry.

Cons: The screen is pretty small and makes for some small reading and tiny buttons. For a young'un with small fingers and good eyes, that's not a problem but for my aging eyes and fat fingers, it's still a little tough. Some of the android apps don't function quite correctly on this small screen. The phone is built well but when it's in my shirt pocket and I bend over it slides out and hits the ground, the cover pops off, battery pops out, etc. I put it all back together and it functions fine but I wish it would stay together just a little better. Probably too much to ask.

Other Thoughts: Good entry into android. 2.2 is great. This phone is light and small but still very good quality. Very high quality cap. touch screen is a great feature at this price point. Hadn't tried to root or mod this phone so I'm not sure whether or not it can be done. Don't worry about the brand being not very well known, the quality is definately above average.

5 out of 5 eggsWorthy Purchase

Pros: Rich in features: has a lot of features you would normally find in phones twice the price.
Small: could be a con for some people, but it's excellent if you want a phone that isn't huge (like the droid x) to take for jogging or cycling.
Cheap: amazing price given that it runs 2.2 and pretty well i might add.

Cons: you have to pay for accessories. it's not really a con, considering the fact that you normally would have to buy a screen protector, case, and microsd/storage solution for any other phone you'd buy new. plus, if you're buying from newegg you could just add in a microsd with your order.

Other Thoughts: I bought this phone after using an Iphone for 2 years. Its an amazing upgrade from the phone, and android gives you much more control over what you can do. Its well worth the purchase if you're considering it. You may have to get accustomed to the screen size, but i feel that it's perfect, especially after you install swype and use it. I haven't had any problems with the phone, it runs great, and has everything my iphone had and much more. why buy a hipster iphone if your plan isn't up when you can just shell out 200 dollars for a phone with more storage (200 includes a 16gb sd and case+screen protector) and with more features that aren't inherently locked until steve jobs allows them to be used and be outclassed in a year when the next iphone comes out? This phone is something that I can see myself using after my plan runs out; something that i can use for the radio, my music, web browsing, and for gps. all of these features not requiring a data plan. and all awesome. buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little phone for the price

Pros: I have a Sprint EVO and wanted an inexpensive unlocked GSM Android phone for traveling in Europe. I install a T-Mobile Pre-Pay SIM to use in US (I don’t want to use GSM data only wireless, turn off “Data” in the “Mobile network settings”) and set up the phone. The camera is OK. It does not come with a micro SD card and I recommend you install one before setting up the phone. I paid $169.99. Other’s paid $150.00. don’t know why.

Cons: Screen and keyboard are small but useable.

Other Thoughts: Read the other reviews and know what you getting before you buy it and you won’t be disappointed. While 169.99 is a lot of money, it isn't in regards to a smart phone. I would not recommend getting this phone as you first Android phone. You may have trouble figuring out the ins and outs of setting up an Android phone.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfect

Pros: Works great with the 3G data plan in US with T-mobile and China with Chinaunicom. It has embed GPS receiver and you can install GPS software in the micro SD card or use Google map.

Cons: Have to optimize the applications and other options on the phone to get 4 to 5 day power life.
