3 out of 5 eggsgood basic smart phone

Pros: All the basic functions you need. Pretty durable, no issues with screen cracking like I hear about with Samsung. Decent but not great camera, Bluetooth and wifi work good.

Cons: No flash for cam.
No selfie cam.
Have to be careful how you hold the phone so people can hear you, but that seems typical of all phones these days.
Cracked the case back, trying to get to the battery. Doesn't affect operation, but fits loose now. Could not get a replacement.
A little slow downloading email and websites, but so is my laptop.

Other Thoughts: I've used this phone for 2 years without major problems. Main reason I upgraded from a plain phone was to use when traveling, which my old phone couldn't do. Used it in several different countries in western hemisphere and asia, no problems. Looking to upgrade now for better camera, more speed, but not sure its worth it.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Good durability and materials, very nice scratch- and shatter-resistant screen. Android 2.3 is user friendly, stable, and easy to work with. Navigation through the menus and screens was a breeze, and the scrolling wallpaper feature was rather nifty.

Cons: Unfortunately, this model became a rather large pain closer to 8-9 months of ownership. The SIM card slot became unstable, and would at this point require soldering the contacts to make the phone usable again. At first it was a minor inconvenience, the phone simply needed to be power cycled. However, the issue turned into having to remove the battery and re-seating the SIM card every few minutes in order to use the phone.

Other Thoughts: I can recommend this phone to anyone new to smart phones looking for an inexpensive model. However, be warned that the model is inexpensive for a reason, and won't last a long period of time.
