2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It charges the device it is plugged into.

Cons: Ordered it december 22nd 2014, used it 4 times. The power button no longer works. It is stuck in the on position.
The item supposedly comes with a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer but they don't answer to emails.

2 out of 5 eggsCharge Port started fizzing after 1 month

Pros: When it worked it worked. Charged phone quicker than wall charger. Small and looks good.

Cons: Both of the charge ports started to sometimes not activate after one month. The ports had to be held down or push in certain way to work. Didn't expect it to fail so soon =(

Other Thoughts: Not worth it when it failed so easily. Not even worth the RMA with the cost to ship, etc.

2 out of 5 eggsWish I had my mophie back

Pros: Smooth sleek metal case

Cons: Low amps - won't deliver enough Amps to charge my Galaxy S2 while I am using it. Just enough to keep its level constant.
Despite its 6000 mAh rating it doesn't hold even 3750 mAh or enough to charge my 1875 mAh battery 2xs
Who thought it was a good idea to put the name SCUD on the case?

Other Thoughts: After several times loaning my mophie (4000 mAh) to my chef friend (and getting awesome meals in return) I finally gave it to him as the meals were triple its value. Then I saw this and thought great ... 3 phone charges instead of 2.
Unfortunately this barely keeps the level constant if you use the device while charging, indicating that it is not delivering enough Amps. The mophie had 2 amps and would QUICKLY charge even when using. I can't believe this is even putting out 1 A.

Second I easily got 2 charges from my mophie. I am not even getting 2 out of this and it is supposed to hold 2000 mAh more. I think there is a lot of energy lost in this device.

Who thought SCUD was a good name? Well this performs about as well as the missiles did.

2 out of 5 eggsShuts off after 15 minutes or so

Pros: Compact and sleek.

Cons: Shuts off after 15 minutes - so you can't leave it unattended - even over lunch.

Seems to do better until it loses 1 charge bink then it seems to shut off after 3-5 minutes. This is after a full charge.

Specifications don't match received product. The device label says 5V 1 Amp and the above says 5V 1.5 A

Device is not hot or anything. Just shuts off frequently esp after losing one charge bink.

The other night (1st night after full charge) I let it charge my phone over night - a key application for me - camping and on trips.

Woke up and phone was moved to home charging station. Why? Kids were kept away in the middle of the night by incessant beeping from the phone after this device and completely drained the phone. I'm guessing it shut off and then in that mode is happy to accept power from the phone. So it drained the phone. That's a super negative strike against unattended charging.

Other Thoughts: Using with a

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Battery Charger

Pros: -Compact for capacity (smaller than a typical smart phone
-Silver design with great light notifications
-Charges phone & tablets extremely fast (Galaxy tab 3)

Cons: -Should have bought more & one for myself (see Other Thoughts)

Other Thoughts: Found this charger on sale for <$15 and decided to buy it for a coworker (already got another charger for myself). He uses it daily to charge his phone and other electronics occasionally.

Came in and had a nice, sleek silver metal design along with blue LED light notifications for the power remaining.

He has 3 boys that he recently got Galaxy Tab 3 7" tablets for. So he was looking for a charger he could use for his phone and maybe charge a tablet or two. It turned out that it only took 10 min to charge his phone from half power to full and charge two of his boys tablets each from 0%->100% in 30 minutes per tablet with enough power to charge the final tablet up (had ~25% power left in the charger).

Very good buy and very fast charging and powerful. Now time to see how long it will last and the durability.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after second time use

Pros: light weight, LED indicator let you know how much power you still have in it.

Cons: It works only two times.
Long time to recharge.
Bad customer service.

Other Thoughts: Buy it in December shell shock. First time works very well. It can charge my galaxy S4 two times, although it takes nearly 10 hours to recharge itself through a computer USB port. But the third time when I connect it to the USB port, the four LED light turns solid and then turns off after several seconds. Tried many times, sometime the LED light may flash no more than 1 minute, then four light turns solid and the off. So it cannot recharge itself. Send email to customer services for help, but no response.

2 out of 5 eggsGood idea, but strange behavior

Pros: Compact size, good capacity for backup charger. good price.

Cons: Doesn't work correctly with my Samsung Galaxy 5S. It shuts off when the screen shuts of unless the battery level is above 85%. Then it seems to work OK. If I keep the screen turned on it charges fairly rapidly.

Other Thoughts: I am in contact with the manufacturer of the Scud M66. We are trying to determine the source of these units. Something doesn't add up. I will update the review when this is resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall battery, big power

Pros: Well built. No brainer to use or recharge. Came partially charged out of the box. Tested with an iPad and wireless headphones. Worked great.

Cons: USB charging line too short. Substituted one of my own many USB lines for the one provided by manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: None

1 out of 5 eggsBad Solder Job.

Pros: Well. When it worked it was great.

Cons: The on/off switch busted off because of a bad solder job. If you have this be careful with treating the on/off switch with great care.

Other Thoughts: I have had the unit for just over 60 days. I would have thought it would have lasted at least through the Holidays. Nope. I inspected where the switch came off and the solder didn't adhere to the switch contacts good. It is very small and I have skill with soldering and a solder station, so I will try to reattach it since it no longer under warranty. If you have other units with a very small on/off switch I would be very cautious when turning the unit on and off. When I inspected the control board the solder joints all look of poor quality. Just my experience, hope yours was better.
