4 out of 5 eggsgood quality charger

Pros: This is a nice solid charger and does what it is supposed to do and that is charge an Apple product and an Android product at the same time.

Cons: Only one con so far.
This charger is designed to be used in a wall outlet.
The design makes it unusable in most power strips.
I wish that I would have known this ahead of time.

It would have been perfect if the prongs could be swiveled to fit into a power strip.

Other Thoughts: I wish all power strips were standardized and all chargers, etc. were standardized.
That being said, the description plainly states that this unit is a Wall Charger. I will look closer at descriptions from now on.
I still like this charger from Anker

1 out of 5 eggsLooks nice, quality says otherwise.

Pros: When I first got it, I noticed it had a quality weight feel to it. Even charging two phones on it didn't even begin to make it warm up. Stayed cool as if it wasn't being used.
My phone started out charging fast with it... that ended 2 weeks after.

Cons: It didn't last long. It still works, but from my battery monitors, I was getting charge speeds averaging 1.0a worth of draw for charging, on average, on my Galaxy S3.
Next thing I know, I can't really get more than 500mah worth of charging. I don't know what happened, but my old, OEM charger that is a 1a max output performs twice as fast now.

Other Thoughts: It started out well, but now it charges as if I was doing USB charging. I've tried different outlets, different USB cables, even knew ones like I had before when it was working. Guess I need to get in touch with their technical support. I just hate spending that extra money for what I hope is quality, and then get no benefit from it. I should have trusted the reviews I read on here about them dying and getting down to slow charging within a month for a lot of people.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than I expected.

Pros: *Looks Slick, unoffensive.
*Quality Construction
*Fast Charging (70% in ~1 Hour on my Nexus 5)
*Two Charging Ports (Nice for charging multiple devices at once).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical spending $12 on a charger. Its a decent chunk of change for something so simple but I bit the bullet and tried it anyways.

I also purchased a 6ft 22AWG USB wire to charge my phone. Upon opening the box and picking this thing up, the first thing that I noticed immediately was the weight. For such a small device, it's pretty hefty. I was surely expecting a light piece of plastic. The weight gives the impression of quality, so I examined the product closer and found the build quality to be excellent. My worries at that point vanished. The instruction manual that comes with the charger is also a nice touch and gives an explanation as to which charging ports do what and what devices they're meant for. Nice.

I plugged my Nexus 5 into the android port on the charger via my new USB cable with ~33% battery left. I proceeded to take a nap for about an hour and a half. When I woke up, the battery was fully charged. I checked my battery graph and found that it had fully charged my battery in a little over an hour.

Overall, I'm impressed with this product so far. It has exceeded my expectations. Between the new heavy duty USB cable and this Charger, I hopefully won't have to buy a new one any time soon.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Product

Pros: High Quality

Cons: Large

Other Thoughts: This is a quality product! I usually see junk when I buy something in this category unless I'm paying $30 or more, and even then it's a gamble. But I was surprised at the quality of this product! Packaging is quality and the device is solid.

One of the USB ports provides 2.0A for "other smartphones and USB-powered devices" and one port provides 2.4A for "your iPad and other Apple devices." And the manual says you can use both ports at the same time. "Only the Anker 18W wall charger can simultaneously power up to two gadgets at their maximum speeds for fast charges and uninterrupted performance..."

But total output is 3.6A. How can that be maximum power simultaneously? Doesn't 2.0 + 2.4 = 4.4?

Regardless, this is a quality product and I will buy this and other Anker products in the future.
