Forty years ago in Star Trek, Lt. Uhura wore a bulky piece of machined aluminum in her ear for hours at a time; I bet she would have killed for a modern Bluetooth headset!
Lightweight, the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset’s rechargeable lithium polymer battery still gives you six hours of continuous talking time, or a whopping one hundred hours of standby time. You can wear it over either ear, and the noise-canceling microphone makes it easier for others to hear you, and not the environment around you. Multipoint technology lets you quickly switch between two Bluetooth devices. It controls volume, answering/ending a call mute, and voice dial on devices with those features.
Check it out for yourself. We'll be right here when you're done.

Had it over a year now...
- Pros: Awesome Sound, Battery Life, and Ease of Use...
Sounds even better w/o the Noise Canceling Tip! * Read Other Thoughts.
- Cons: The noise canceling tip does have a flaw, if you touch it to pick it up all the time... over a long period of time it WILL become glossy, and many people will start to complain about how they cannot hear you! This happened after about 4 months of handling it, but I did find a fix for it...
- Other Thoughts: If your headset starts to get complaints from others, just cut the noise canceling tip off(carefully), and expose the Mic. then cover the Mic with one of the ear bud foams that it came with... I'm some what crafty and when i did this, people whom complained couldn't even tell that was on the headst
Excellent headset
- Pros: I find that this headset an excellent value at any price. This is the 5th headset I've owned, it is comfortable, and I frequently forget that I'm wearing it. I find that the range doesn't depend on you headset but a good quality phone, I have a Cingular 8125 and find that I can walk almost 100 feet away from my phone and still have decent reception. Since purchasing this headset I've never received a complaint about poor quality and frequenlty talk in noisier environments.
- Cons: Better controls on the headset itself.
- Other Thoughts: I've owned a couple Motorola headsets and find them very uncomfortable, after wearing them for only an hour I will start to get a headache and have to constantly remove it. However I do prefer the controls on a Motorola, but no way that I'll switch back... Comfort is everything!

Awesome Unit
- Pros: The one to buy. Great sound quality. Light weight and comfortable Fit. Great range and battery life, Easy to reach controls. Good price from a leader in headsets.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Wanted to buy it's more expensive big brother and am glad I didn't. With it's different size ear inserts gives it a perfect fit. The best of all it won't fall out of your ear when you talk or move your head like most other units do.
Do not buy for PC use
- Pros: Comfortable, cheap
- Cons: So without checking I purchased this headset to use with a softphone on my PC. While the device would pair with the system Windows was unable to locate drivers, thats when I found out that this headset isn't supported in Windows Vista (much less Windows 7 64-bit which is what I use). However after about an hour of googling I found some drivers from broadcom that seemed to allow Windows to install it. Of course this wasn't the end to my issues, attempting to use the headset with softphones from 3CX and Xlite (4.0 beta) resulted in sound quality somewhat akin to using the headset while in a spaceship leaving our atmosphere... that is to say it sounded like absolute garbage. After playing with codecs and input levels for about an hour I gave up, its not worth this much of a hassle when a simple 5 dollar plug-in headset will work.
- Other Thoughts: I guess this is what I get for not researching further PC support for this headset. Although I don't think its incredibly naive to think I could just purchase a bluetooth headset and use it in Windows without a problem. The fact that Vista isn't even supported is a little bit insane to me as the OS has been out for several years now.
Worth the money
- Pros: It is a bluetooth headset, fits good after you get used to it. Very comfortable compared to others I have tried. Low price versus those high ones with same features. This headset can take a beating for what it has gone through. Noise cancellation works great at noisy enviroments I have been in, great reach. Good and professional look in the design. Very pretty. The sound quality is great when I hear and talk.
- Cons: Very few times the wind cancellation feature does not work and when I say few, I mean 4 or 5 times since I owned this. I use this baby every day all day, and that means I have to recharge everyday, battery could be better but it could be worse. My ear had to get use to it, but that is almost all headsets. Every now and then people would not be able to hear me and that would be because I am in a noisy enviroment and I talk soft, if I talk loud then they can hear me.
- Other Thoughts: I have bought 4 of these from newegg, one of them I kept it as a gift for a family member, and gave it 3 months later. The headset lasted less than a week and it was new. I called newegg and they said they would replace it for another one, the new one came in and it worked perfect and it is still working after one year. The rest of them are still working, no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this one for the comfort, price, sound quality, design, usefulness, and all its features.
Do not buy this in stores, buy it at newegg. For the simple reason that, Newegg rocks!!!
