PLANTRONICS M50 Bluetooth Headset

Pros: Had this headset for a few months now and it works very well. Charge time isn't long and lasts forever, granted I use it daily for around a couple of hours at the most.
I was worried about fit on the ear since this was the first bluetooth headset I've ever bought and I can't stand earbud-like headsets but I could wear this thing for hours and not notice.

Cons: Sometimes have some volume issues with the person on the other end, but very rarely and I'm not even sure this headset is the cause.

Pros: Crystal clear audio, very small and comfortable, amazing battery life.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've always loved Plantronics for their quality, but haven't been able to find one that fits comfortably on my ear. I found this and bought two, one for me and one for my mom. She figured out how to connect hers by herself (without any tech skills) and neither of us have any complaints. I leave it uncharged for days on end before I bother charging it again

Pros: Good battery life, good sound, compact, excellent range away from the mobile handset or smartphone. Bargain price. Fits well in my ear with no fatigue.

Cons: Packaging. I know that these items have to be securely package to prevent retail theft, but I had a lot of trouble getting this thing open.

Pros: Excellent fit in the ear. The range is great and the sound is very clear. The battery life is great as well. I love the fact that I can listen to music from my phone using this headset, which is why I bought this device.

Cons: None.

Pros: Fits comfortably on my ear. I love the fact that I can listen to my music on my phone. The range is fantastic. I don't have to have the phone in my pocket at all times just to use the bluetooth. Also love the price!!

Pros: Great battery and voice control, simple to use, comfortable, nice slide power switch, classy design.

Cons: Muffled on my end, sound cuts out on their end, and I miss the easy-to-use charging stand of the 520.

Other Thoughts: I've had several of the Voyager 520 of a few years, but since I got the iPhone 5, I realized a lot of people heard loud static on their end, so I wanted to switch headsets. After a lot of research, I settled on the M50, mostly because of the reviews, the design, and the price. At first, I was impressed with the feel and design, and noticed the new icon at the top of the iPhone, and the battery life seems very long compared to the 520, but I also immediately noticed the unclear, muffled sound on almost every call, even in a quiet room, then when a few people noted that they missed a word or two, and that the sound was cutting out, it was simply unacceptable, so I had to return it, and I ordered the Plantronics Legend. Newegg was very helpful with the RMA, which makes me loyal to them.

Pros: small, lightweight, simplistic and easy to use, battery life (yet to be verified), comfort and fit, cost, charging port is USB, plays music from phone, pairs with two devices at once (yet to be tested), volume is more than adequate

Cons: Attachment and ear bud limitations - seems to work for me, but I could see how it might not work well for everyone. There are no other ear bud cushions for different levels of comfort and the ear loop is rigid and not changeable.

No mute (at least not that I could find) - not a big deal since I can easily mute from the phone.

Too small (not really a con) - I fear that I will either break it or loose when its not in my ear, ha ha.

Other Thoughts: Haven't had long enough to fully test battery life, but I've used it for about 1-2 hours and it still says battery level high (good so far). Also still need to pair with another device and try switching between the two, but I don't foresee any issues (will update review later). The charging port is convenient and easy to access (same as my phone) and the standard micro USB allows me to charge just about anywhere.

All-in-all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to others.

Tip - Volume on headset is independent from phone volume. Between the two I have great control over the volume and seems to allow it to get loud enough for most situation like a windy car ride for example.

Pros: Works, decent battery life, comfortable.

Cons: Drops connection, reconnects if you turn it off and back on so no big deal. But nothing is more annoying than being cut off in the middle of your conversation.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace another plantronics headset I owned which was far better than this but around the same price. I would recommend plantronics as a brand for bluetooth headsets just not this particular one.

Pros: Long battery life, 8+ hours of use. I had the Plantronics 220 for years and was very happy with it, but the battery wasn't holding a charge for very long. I am very pleased with this one. It's just as comfortable as the 220 and lighter.

Cons: None that I have found.

Pros: Unit works as advertised. The volume is easy to use and works well. Clarity is great. I have this in my ear most of the day. I only have to charge it once a week. The thing works great. I love it.

Cons: The only con I can think of is it takes a little getting used to having something in your ear.
