1 out of 5 eggsIs this OEM?

Pros: Well, you can use this device wirelessly

Cons: I have x2 other Plantronics M50's (one for me and one for my husband). I ordered a replacement for one of them because I dropped mine in a cup of tea and killed it.

The device I received from NewEgg IS NOT the same as the others. I think the device I received is a knock-off of the real thing.

No voice acknowledgement that the device is connected and giving the battery level. My other M50's will give the battery level "Battery high" and then say "phone one connected" The new device only gives a small beep. When I move out of range with my old devices I hear "phone one disconnected." When I move out of range with the new M50 all I hear is a series of beeps.

My other two M50's have orange paint under the on-off bar so that when the device is off the orange shows. My new M50 does not indicate whether the device is on or off.

Sound quality on myolder two M50's is great. Sound quality on the new M50 is hollow and distant.

My other two M50's are pretty stout. The body on my new M50 is flimsy and started to separate right out of the box.

Other Thoughts: This is a cheap knock off of the real thing. What a disappointment! Would give this zero eggs, if it was possible.

5 out of 5 eggsClear, unnoticeable, and effective

Pros: I've only owned Plantronics headsets. My previous one broke due to use and I needed a new one. After reviewing headsets, and price points, this one was affordable and worked great.

-- small size
-- clear sound
-- relatively long battery
-- connect two devices
-- connects super quick

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend anyone looking for an affordable and super high quality headset!

5 out of 5 eggsjoined at the hi[

Pros: This babe has worked like a charm. I use it daily for work so it has gotten beating. It has become a daily part of how I work.

Cons: I have new Motorola Maxx phone and am having trouble getting it to pair. I am not willing to give up on my plantronics as I know it can still do the job.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for an over the ear headset this is a great buy!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Headset, but I sold it to another

Pros: It is a good headset, but the Plantronics style has always been problematic with my huge hair and my ear style.. Folks had problems hearing me, but sold it to another who prefers this style of ear cup and it works perfectly.. She's very happy. The specs are accurate.

Cons: Wrong ear cup for me, right for another. I went with a Motorola buds instead..

4 out of 5 eggsBluetooth headset

Pros: Very good reception, very light and easy to use. give casual indications for the battery power and lost connections. you can also use the media feature y you want. Overall, is a very good device.

Cons: The ear holder is stiff, and, some times your ear hurt. In a big environment, the signal is not consistent, and lost the connection during a conversation. It could be a little larger, but this is not a big deal'

4 out of 5 eggsLove It!

Pros: Comfortable. Lightweight. Forget you're wearing it. Great sound quality & clarity.

Cons: Only 1 con -- It is so comfortable to wear, I forgot to take it off in a downpour and had to buy a new one. Have done this twice now. You'd think I'd learn. lol

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased!

Pros: Pretty comfortable. Volume sufficient. Long battery life and quick recharge.

Cons: I may be a bit sensitive - or my ears may just not be made for headsets. But it does get a bit annoying after an hour or so. I can't, however, blame it on the headset as they probably ALL would get annoying and this likely less than most.

Other Thoughts: This is my first bluetooth headset ever and I've been very happy with it. But that also means I have no experience with any others, which renders my review somewhat less than ideal. Still, I'd happily buy another. Plantronics is a name I've very familiar with, having worked in the telco industry, and I do trust their products as they've been building headsets for DECADES so they probably know what they're doing by now!
