5 out of 5 eggsSolid piece

Pros: (1: very good reception/clarity; I was informed by a friend of mine, with whom I speak frequently, that he could hear the difference the moment my bluetooth turned on. My voice became more distinct, and he could hear me more clearly. (2: decent range; I can walk a fair distance away without losing much quality. In the same room, the quality degradation is negligible. (3: battery life; I don't use it very often (nobody calls me), but I can leave it off the charger for days. I only use it at home while on the computer for hands-free calls. I know it will do MUCH more than that, but it suits my needs.

Cons: It's battery life diminished significantly after going through the washer/dryer. The fact that it still works should have been listed in the 'Pros'.... but I'm too lazy. I cannot dock an egg for the fact that it doesn't work as long after GOING THROUGH THE WASHER AND DRYER.
-it's SMALL, and you might forget you left in your shirt pocket...CHECK YOUR POCKETS!

Other Thoughts: This has been a great little unit. I couldn't find it one day while I was doing laundry. Later, I grabbed fresh clothes out of the dryer (Mmmmmm fresh, clean. warm clothes) and found it therein. My face dropped.. Seriously, my chin hit the dryer door. I tried turning it on... no luck. I went back to my room and said "what the hell, plug it in and see what happens...". The charging light came on... my face came back. I left it for the day while I went to work. I came back and checked it. It gave me the notice "power on; talk time 10hrs; phone 1 connected". My elation was too much to describe. I had an uninterrupted 2hr conversation with a good friend of mine that night... all on a this piece after it had survived "The Wash". I. Am. Impressed.
This is a sturdy unit.

3 out of 5 eggsDont think I want another one

Pros: stays in the ear well without the suction effect of the ear bud approach but you get good sound in all but the worst circumstances. I have it with me all the time and often take it off and hang it from my shirt pocket or my t shirt collar. The ear hook holds the unit s
well and I have never had it come off. Definitely has good battery life for all day sales calls and charges very fast when needed. range is very good allowing easy use and no degradation of signal within any room or the next. You need to almost be in th ecar driving away befor you hear the BEEP letting you know you forgot your phone. Very handy that beep.

Cons: This thing has a super sensitive button that makes calls if a strong breeze hits it! But at the same time sometimes it just doesn't pay attention to you when you try to answer a call by touching it!! VERY frustrating and inconvenient. It is not good protocol to "But Dial" a client!!

Other Thoughts: Its pros of good clear connection, good volume and secure fit out weigh the bad button, but just barely. I would definitely buy Plantronics again (I have used 3 different models over the years) but not this one. I would look for one that looks like this but has an improved button. Don't know if it exists yet but this is going strong after a year of heavy every day use. It does what it does well, except for that stupid button!!

4 out of 5 eggsAffordable and reliable hands free option

Pros: I bought this to keep in my car which doesn't have built in bluetooth to carry on hands free conversations on the road. I probably only use it once a week, but only need to charge it every 2 months or so. It has good sound quality and is easy to use. It could be a little more comfortable, but its fine for an hour or so of phone calls.

Cons: Not comfortable to just walk around with it in your ear for too long so not something you would want to just wear around. Also not incredibly attractive or fashionable to walk around with one of these nowadays although it doesn't flash and glow like a lot of the others do.

Other Thoughts: I bought this on sale. I cannot remember what I paid, but in my opinion it should be moderately priced as it is definitely better than "cheap" but not quite as good as "deluxe."

3 out of 5 eggsgood, but failed to convince

Pros: Lightweight, connects to two phones easily, audio is clear

Cons: connections are confusing, phone 1 and phone 2 get swapped, sometimes media audio works, sometimes not. Connecting calls takes so long I hit the button twice, and it disconnects. I sneezed and it called, the button is just too easy to hit. The connect tones are swapped from previous model M50.

Other Thoughts: I so much wanted to like this one. Perhaps there are too many features, perhaps this is a knock-off that does not work as well as the original, but whatever it is, I can no longer tolerate the inconsistency. I will either replace with another style, or do without a headset. These are SO hard to find one that works well, they are so particular to fitting in your ear and your specific usage patterns.

The media audio could be played only when it was from "phone 1," but that was whichever connected first. This should be locked in when the phones are paired. I had to disable Bluetooth on my second phone to make sure it did not connect when I powered up the headset.

1 out of 5 eggsAccidental Dials & Hangups Galore

Pros: This Bluetooth gets good reception and those being called have no complaints about the sound quality but this unit has one major problem.

Cons: Unlike the M155 that had a recessed answer button that made it very difficult to accidentally activate, the M55 has a button integrated into the top half of the outer wall that makes it extremely easy to push in, causing accidental dials and accidentally hanging up on calls. Do not get this unit or you will regret not paying attention to my advice.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Headset

Pros: The voice quality is clear on both ends, fits comfortably with or without the over the ear clip, highest volume level is really loud, lightweight, easy sync to multiple phones.

Cons: The call/hang-up button is a little sensitive but I may just have clumsy hands. Occasionally disconnects itself from my phone when answering calls.

Other Thoughts: Read reviews before I bought this headset and it sure has lived up to the hype. Happy with the purchase so far.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great Headset. I find it to be more accurate than the more expensive Headset.

Cons: I use this for typing mostly on my PC it does pick up noise in the back ground which does cause typing errors but I have not found one that doesn't.

Other Thoughts: Great if used with cell phone
