4 out of 5 eggsNo Songs

Pros: Light weight and encompasses all that you would need in a headset. Battery life is good and sound quality for phone is idea.

Cons: Sound quality for music is a little less than I would expect from this headset.

Other Thoughts: Motorola makes great products, this one is on the line. Good sound quality is not present all around.

2 out of 5 eggsCannot recommend

Pros: Comfortable and buds seem to stay in place well when moving and turning your head. I like the magnetic bud holders on the end of the neck piece. Controls are easy and intuitive. Good bluetooth range and connection quality, no lag in audio playback

Cons: The sound volume and quality are, bluntly, terrible. The buds do little to filter any outside noise and the quality of the sound was very tinny with non existent bass. Even with the device and headset volume pegged at max the volume was not high enough to compete with outside noise. If you are in a quiet office space and dont mind trebly washed out sound, these could work, but not good for gym or outside work.

Other Thoughts: I have owned Motorola headsets in the past and have been very happy with the quality of sound, but not so much with the comfort or the buds staying in place. Hopefully they can find a way to get these 2 important factors together in 1 device, but I cannot recommend these. The only reason I am not returning is because my wife already threw out all the packaging etc :(

5 out of 5 eggsHe said, she said

Pros: Work great for phone calls and music

Cons: My husband can't hear me when he's wearing them and I can't always tell. I suspect he may be faking it at times.

Other Thoughts: Bought them for my husband. He says he likes them and they work well. From strictly a performance standard he's satisfied. However, he doesn't like the look and tries to hide them so "I don't look like an idiot.

4 out of 5 eggsconfused but works well.

Pros: audio is pretty good, people say they can hear us. buttons are all in a good place.

Cons: bit awkward for those who haven't used this type of device

Other Thoughts: purchased two at the same time. both black and same model numbers. We received a blue one and a black one. One with a tiny usb charger one with a wall charger, one with a bag, one with out. other than that they seem the same. I don't know why it is this way but the tiny usb works out nice for me and my wife will use the wall charger.

at retail price, may want to look at other options such as the LG, but on sale these seem to be a good buy so far.

4 out of 5 eggsMoto Buds SF500

Pros: Battery Life - lasts about 20 hours, I usually only use it for about 4 hours a day (travelling to/from work each day)

Cons: Not really a con, but I guess took me awhile to get adjusted to the ridged feel. Coming from the LG HBS, these are more tight around your neck when worn. Unlike the LG's, which are more loose on your neck. It will take me a minute to get acclimated to the Buds.

Other Thoughts: I say this is a good deal, since I only paid $40 versus the normal price of $69.99 on Motorola's site. If you can get it on sale, I say go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bluetooth Headphones I've Had!

Pros: Great build quality! Bluetooth, Comfortable, Great sound,

Cons: Skull Rumble (And that's all)

Other Thoughts: I have over 23 different pairs of headphones, from cheap to 500 bucks and above, I've tried many bluetooth headphones and had little to no luck at all, which is a shame as I like the idea of using them while working out or bicycling, However everytime I get a set of them they have very poor reception and cut out every time you move,

That is not the case with these, I was a little hesitant on getting another set of motorola bluetooth headphones as I had the S9HD's and they were nothing but trouble.
These have restored my interest in motorola however, every problem I had before has been corrected,

They're extremely lite, great battery life, very easy to use and they pair amazingly quick, almost as soon as you turn them on they're paired with your device, they have great sound and are plenty loud though you wont be able to share your music with everyone around you,

They have little to no sound leak which is a must for me, I wear headphones for the exact reason not to share my music with everyone around me.

The only downside however is skull rumble, and that is what is what happens when you're walking or moving and you head rumbling, which can be a bit annoying at times though it really is not enough to take away from them.

Bottom line, I would hands down recommend these to anyone looking for bluetooth earbuds.

3 out of 5 eggsGood quality, not so good design

Pros: Great sound! duarble

Cons: too rigid of a design, especially if you have a large neck. low tech in comparison to others (ie lg).

Other Thoughts: overall a good product for some. personally the lg ear bud offer more in terms of feedback ie, battery status is on screen of phone (at least for me it is , i have lg g3) . that being said sound quality and bluetooth range is alt better than with my lg buds. the biggest issue for me was the rigid design, if it weren't for that i would probably still use them. i you have a large neck, don't bother with these.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Bass

Pros: No complaints from people I'm talking to. Mic seems to work well. Battery lasts a good 5+ hours. Haven't tested full charge.

Call quality seems fine in my pocket, and I can walk a good 20 feet away and still get good signal.

Cons: EQ setting very hard to use. I still don't understand it. It also happens to use the same setting as voice control for my phone.
To get good bass out of IEMs, you need to have a good seal. For whatever reason, my ears don't fit these well (cheap $5 IEMs sound much better), so I don't get much bass.
Bluetooth is choppy when connecting to my laptop, so I can't use it for laptop calls.
Cables are very short such that I can't freely turn my head fully. It's also very back heavy. I would prefer front heavy so it fits under collars better.
Doesn't tell you how much battery is left until you're almost out of battery.
IEM holes are incredibly tiny, about the size of a pinhead. This means earwax can easily clog and ruin sound quality further.

Other Thoughts: There are better bluetooth headsets out there. For the price they're asking, I don't think it's worthwhile. $20 and this becomes a good headset, but the overall quality deems more than that, so I doubt it will ever hit that price point.

It would be nice if the headset also told you how much battery is left like plantronics devices do.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but not for tall people.

Pros: Comfortable, easy to use and sync. These headphones are great for a commuting cyclist. I purchased these specifically because they had a great reputation as the best on the market. They sound good and connect easily with my phone.

Cons: Wires leading to earbuds from the main piece are slightly too short. Also, if you are tall the receiving range for the headset isn't good enough. I am 6ft 4in and I have to put my phone (a galaxy s3) in my backpack so I don't get all kinds of audio chop from connection issues. When I put the phone in my pocket it just cuts out all the time.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't let the cons prevent you from buying the device, just be aware you may have to have some place to put your phone other than your pocket if you want to have decent audio quality.

3 out of 5 eggsGood price, not entirely functional

Pros: This headset provides good value for the money. If you're looking for a decent bluetooth stereo headphone with phone headset, this would fit the bill. Best suited for general activity and commuting. The ear buds are comfortable and block external noise. The controls are on the plastic neckband which contains the antenna, so you don't need to touch your phone/player.

Cons: The external playback and call controls work differently and don't make as much sense as my current S9 set. The biggest fail is the Playback and Call controls are on the same button.

To control the audio start and stop when playing music, press the Play/Call button once.

To make a call, hold the Play/Call button for about a second, and then use your phone's built-in voice dialling system (iPhone Siri, in my case).

Where this gets bad is that if you are listening to music and press Play/Call to make a call, the headset instead triggers the "EQ Change" feature to change the tonality of the music. This is a User Experience Design fail and the team member who thought up that behaviour should be fired.

Other Thoughts: I bought these for working out, but found in the manual that Motorola doesn't recommend they be used for exercising. Too bad, because these are extremely comfortable and block out all external sound. Well, I guess they shouldn't be worn when walking outdoors for safety reasons in that case. Hm...
