2 out of 5 eggsDon't Do it! You'll Regret it!

Pros: Very Loud! Even at lowest setting I can hear! Actually it's a bit too loud for my ear.
Battery lasts a long time (I can go days of using it and still have enough battery life leftover!)

Cons: It CONSTANTLY disconnects or the sound quality is terrible - and it's not my htc smart-phone because I can use the built in ear speaker and mic and the phone is great.
I'm now on my second one - it was replaced by Motorola a few months ago, and now it is being replaced again (under warranty) by a completely different model - the HX550.

Other Thoughts: They say that anything else operating in the 2.4GHz range can cause interference (i.e. wifi routers), but then that's not my problem - I have to have wifi. I know that 5GHz is the new standard for routers, but why should I have to buy another router just because I want to use both devices simultaneously???! Answer: because the industry (Manufacturers and Retailers) wants to make more $$$!

1 out of 5 eggsCompletely Died after 1 year

Pros: Nice little unit when it works. Had it paired it with my BB Bold 9700.

Cons: Purchased in June 2011 and on Oct 2 2012 it totally died. Won't charge, won't turn on, won't work.

Other Thoughts: Never dropped or roughly treated. Expected more from Motorola.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent headset, doesn't last long

Pros: I used this primarily for gaming, so I didn't use the noise-cancelling part much. Sound came in clear though.

Cons: It died just about a year after purchase, and I only used it a couple of hours per week. I'd recommend getting something more reliable.

3 out of 5 eggsNot worth $40

Pros: Clear voicing and volume control.

Cons: I had the device for a year and change, and the battery dosen't last as long as it use to. I use to get at lease a week and a half out of it. Now, I would lucky to get two days from it.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Headset

Pros: (1) Great sound quality
(2) Handles background noise effectively
(3) Long battery life
(4) Effortless setup
(5) Long range
(6) Easy on/off
(7) Comfortable

Cons: (1) Voice dial more finicky then previous Motorola BT
(2) On/off switch feels fragile
(3) Oddball micro-usb charger

Other Thoughts: Pro's far outweigh the cons and I'm satisfied with my purchase. Minus one star for the touchy voice-dial which sometimes forces me to repeat myself once or twice before getting it right.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Favorite BT

Pros: - very good volume range lo to hi
- reliable
- very long battery life
- voice prompts
- very good sound quality
- works with BTMONO

Cons: - not sure how good it sounds to other people, but I haven't had any complaints or rave reviews
- feels like it's falling off, even though it isn't
- in order to switch ears you need to disassemble the earpiece, time consuming. Plantronics 300 series is a much better approach
- I need to use BTMONO to hear Android audio streams

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Noticed that I hadn't written a review so thought since we have had this for 14 months I could give it a long term assessment. Haven't had a problem, it works well and for a mid range bluetooth you can't go wrong with this one.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: 1) Doesn't go into my ear, which is something I hate and it's very rare to find headsets that don't these days.

2) Very lose fit, so it's very comfortable even for very long constant use (6 hours at a time).

3) Long battery life; only have to charge it a couple times a week even with a lot of use (~4-6 hours a day)

4) Fits on either ear if needed.

5) Very easy to set up. It speaks any problems and its status to you.

6) Easy to turn it on and off (just flip the mic open or closed). Easy to mute your sounds (push both the top and bottom volume buttons at the same time). Easy to redial (hold big main button for a couple of seconds). Easy to answer/hang up (big button on the side).

Cons: 1) Occasionally refuses to connect to my phone (HTC Amaze 4G). Have to restart headset and bluetooth for it to work.

2) After it turns on and connects to my phone and about a minute or two, it disconnects and reconnects to the phone. It does this consistently, every single time. It did not do this with my old phone (T-Mobile G1).

3) "Popping" noise (sounds like popcorn) when the phone is more than a foot or so away from the headset. This might not be the headset though, as this has happened with another headset as well; as well as two separate phones. Might be my house and interference.

4) Voice that tells you its status can get very annoying, especially when occasionally it refuses to connect to the phone. "Phone not connected. Go to bluetooth menu on phone and put in 0000 if required." over and over every few seconds. The voice also overrides any speech from the person on the other end when it tells you the headset has been connected for example.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am decently happy with this headset. It does have some major annoyances but its comfort and ease of use somewhat makes up for it. I got it for $40 here on newegg a year ago.

Phones used:
T-Mobile/HTC G1 (old)
T-Mobile/HTC Amaze 4G (current as of 5 months ago)
