This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Product was new and worked well outside of a industrial environment.

Cons: This headset is acceptable to noise and will have static in a Industrial environment.

Other Thoughts: Buy the LG-750 or 800 if you ate going to use them in a factory.

4 out of 5 eggs1 Year

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Quick and easy connection to all bluetooth capable devices. Great sound, plays music, radio, and phone audio very well. The earplugs offer a great amount of sound insulation and are a great substitute for earplugs on long flights. Can work while charging.

These headphones lasted me exactly 54 weeks before the wire broke in the left ear, rendering it inoperable. The right ear still works though.

Cons: The wire broke at the connecting point, no way to fix it.

Other Thoughts: For the price, I expected it to last much longer. Fortunately the price has gone down since then, making it much more reasonably priced.

5 out of 5 eggsMoney well-spent.

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Bought these..I wanna say 3 years ago, now. These things are still kicking. I use them for about 10hrs a day, charging them at lunch. Battery life was spot-on as advertised, even longer actually. Only degraded very slightly over time..never made a difference, because the longest I'd work without a charge-break was 6hrs. If I forgot to charge, it always lasted me til I was home anyway..so, kudos on the battery, LG. One headphone finally went out a few months back, so I cut it off & began using the headset only at work, where I am limited to one-in anyway, for safety reasons. Finally broke down & ordered the HBS-800 model as a replacement, they should arrive in a few days. Hope they are as good as these have been for me.

Cons: My model came with a charger, which it seems none do, anymore..at least in the ones I've researched lately, to replace this item. Original charger died a year or so in, but i had a duplicate from some past accessory so no big deal. Buttons are sort of easy to accidentally hit, if you ever find yourself wiping sweat from your face with your upper arm.

That's about it. This was one of my most flawless purchases ever.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this for reliable midrange, no frills audio.

I'd buy it again..only reason I didn't was to take advantage of the upgraded audio in the 800s.

5 out of 5 eggsPurchased in 2012. Still Working Well !!

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Works Well. Battery last a full day even under heavy use.

Roughly Half a Block Range (if I leave my phone in the Car charging and Walk away from it).

Phone call, Music, and other audio quality is great. And in all but extremely windy conditions the mic pics up very well also..

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsAlmost Great

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Sound it good, rests comfortably on neck so much so I've forgot I've had it on. Distance is as good as I've seen on similar Bluetooth models at ver 3.0.

Cons: The plastic clips that hold the wire down are not very durable. The cables wear on the base where the collar rubs against them revealing the copper underneath. This is why I gave it a 3 not a 4 star rating.

Other Thoughts: All in all I've been using this for a year, I used a polymer based plastic coating to cover the exposed cables which did the trick.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent BT

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Long battery life. I would use it all through a ten hour shift with bass boost on and it would just be getting to "Red" battery status. Good range. Comfortable. After having them in for a few minutes I forget they're there.

Cons: Sound quality is good, but bass is lacking. With bass boost on, some songs sounds messy and overblown cause I assume the phones are as robust as others. Sometimes the headset cuts out due to interference from some equipment I use. Guess it comes with the wireless territory.

4 out of 5 eggsDidn't last as long as I hoped.

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: I purchased this because I do not like headphones that go over my ears and this looked to be a comfortable headset to wear around your neck. It did turn out to be just that.
I thought I would like the earplug type speakers but found that with extended wearing of the (8-10 hours) that I would get a rash in my ears. I tried cleaning the rubber ear pieces with alcohol daily but that didn't help. I ended up modifying the earpiece to be able to hang inside my ear. This fixed the rash issue and all was well up until the battery life started to degrade after using them for less than 1 year. I have had them for just over 8 months.
The audio quality is very good although the bass is a bit weak.
The connection range for the Bluetooth is excellent at about 30 feet before disconnect.
I gave this 4 stars because the technology for Li-ion batteries has just not progressed to the point where they can be deep discharged as I have continually done because I use them all day at work. And I'm sure that the capacity rating (mah) of the battery is at the maximum that can fit in this small headphone case.

Cons: Battery longevity is not as good as I had hoped. When this was new I would easily get 10 hours of continuous streaming audio play time from iheart or pandora. Now after just over 8 months it is down to 6 hours. This is of course with an overnight charge to make sure the batteries are fully charged.

Other Thoughts: Looks like I'll be buying a replacement soon. Or taking them apart and looking for some new replacement cells.

4 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: This headset works really good. Sound quality isn't the greatest but they do sound really good depending on eq settings as well as the encode of the music. Call quality is OK on receiving end and they are pretty loud to boot.

Cons: Only con I find with these are the call quality on the out going end. They don't have noise suppression on them so no matter who I talk to on them (and that's everybody all the time), they a Rte always complaining that they hear all background noise. If I'm watching TV 8 feet from me I have to turn the TV almost all the way down while on the phone because all the person I'm on the phone with can hear is the TV otherwise.

Other Thoughts: Battery life is excellent. They have more then 12 hours run time depending on how you use the trhoughout the day. I was able to watch 3 or 4 movies 2 hours a piece give or take straight through per charge before having to recharge. Phone and music use I can go 2 days from full charge to dead before recharging.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: Bluetooth, phone support and quick buttons. Charging cable same as most new devices.

Cons: No button to order pizza automatically.

Other Thoughts: love the fact that these wrap around my neck rather then the back of my head. Control buttons are easy to navigate.

3 out of 5 eggsHappy as a tick

This review is from: LG Behind-The-Neck Stereo Bluetooth Headset w/ Music Streaming/ Call Waiting Support (HBS-700)

Pros: As of convenience this is the best headphones I haver ever owned. evened talked a few people in buying their own. worth every penny, if the wire was reinforced. my only issue is the wire coming out of the headphones is starting to fray.

Cons: wire coming out of the headphones is starting to break. it would help if was reinforced where it comes out of the neck wrap.

Other Thoughts: if it wasn't for the wire showing, this would be the best headphones I have ever owned. If I can not get this one fixed, I will replace it with another wireless. I'm hoping I can get this one replaced, but I am trying to figure out how to do that on this site. any help?
