4 out of 5 eggsGood deal - wroks great.

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: I use this Bluetooth head set with a Sirius Lynx radio and it Works very well. I like to listen to Sirius satellite radio on&off all day long (at least 6-7 hours); however, the Lynx radio only has about four hours of battery life. The LG HBS-730 wireless head set let me go to greater than 9 hours! Bluetooth range is good too. (I work in a modern building with many separate rooms - about 200 m total.)
I only gave it 4 rather than 5 stars, since I have only used it for a few weeks.

Cons: None, so far...

Other Thoughts: This headset is charged via a micro USB cable. To get a full charge in the few hours, you must use the supplied charger (not the USB port on a PC).

1 out of 5 eggsFollow-up

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: When it worked, I absolutely loved this headset. It had great sound fidelity and isolation (noise cancellation), and the "around-the-neck" feature is ingenious.

Cons: Awwwww........after a few months it started acting weird. A few minutes into each and every call, it would drop the outgoing call (my side) while maintaining the incoming side. In other words, I could hear the other person repeating, "Hello? Hello? I can't hear you. Hello?" I wanted to shake them, of course, because it was quite obvious that something was wrong. When I hung up and called back, the same thing happened. I checked all my device settings, etc, and tested it on other headsets (worked fine). So I bought another one from a different vendor. Same thing happened, a couple of days after the warrantee was up. Sheesh.

Other Thoughts: Love this thing, wish it worked.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: Very long lasting battery life, comfortable, easy to use, good sound, lightweight and Syncs fast.

Cons: Sometimes when i'm in the middle of a call I can hear the person on the phone but they can't hear me. It's the only reason why i'm giving the HBS-730 a 4 egg instead of a 5.

Other Thoughts: They are overall a great buy. You just can't beat the sound and battery life for the money IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks awesome

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: - Pairs almost instantly
- Has good sound
- Easy to use

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Had this headset for a week, bought it rather than the new one, because the new one is considerably more expensive and not work the higher price tag, imo. Used it every day at work, and worked awesome, could go about 30 feet away or further before it started losing signal. Then my dog chewed it up, so it was good while it lasted.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset, except....

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: Great Bluetooth that lets me ride my bike without the lame arm strap or any cords. I just put my sports tracker app on and some music and toss my phone into my camel pack and cruise. I love that i can just play all my music randomly and skip songs I do not like as much with ease.

Cons: lowest volume setting is kinda high.

Other Thoughts: just make the volume

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing upgrade from previous model.

This review is from: LG HBS-730 Black TONE+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Pros: Extremely good audio quality.
Bass is quite impressive; I had to actually make my ears ring to hear any kind of distortion from it.
Comfortable to wear. I don't wear a necklace of any kind and this headset does not bother me to wear all day long.
Earbuds are comfortable. They come in three sizes, and once I found the one that fit my ears the best, I often wear them for more than an hour at a time.
Has built-in equalizer in the headset, pressing both volume buttons cycles between Bass Boost, Normal, and Treble Boost, which also stacks if you have an equalizer on your bluetooth connected device. (It's quite impressive with the CyanogenMod equalizer when configured right)
Has extremely good battery life. I usually turn mine on before I leave for work in the morning, and it generally runs all day and lasts until after midnight, with pauses of random duration throughout the day of course.
Holding the volume down button tells you the battery level. Coming from the previous model, this is a nice addition.
Any other feature has slipped my mind or I have not used, I bought this primarily for music without the need for a cord all the time, as sometimes I leave my device somewhere in one room and leave to another for a moment.

Cons: Coming from the previous model, it doesn't seem there are as many volume levels. This is a minor complaint, and not one to dock points for, but i used to be able to turn my device all the way up and the headset all the way down, working up to a comfortable volume, now I can only have my device at about half volume with the headset all the way down. Again, not a huge issue. (Oh no it's louder what will I do)
Walls are the bane of this headset. The 700 had pretty good range, I was able to leave my tablet in my backyard and walk to the end of my driveway and still be able to pick up a signal if I faced the house. With the 730, I leave my tablet in one room at work and walk down the hall about ten or so feet into another room and it begins to stutter. I would say the 700 had better range, but I can sacrifice that for the boost in audio quality and performance.
The 700 played a small beep when using the previous/next buttons, this one does not. It actually plays no sound, and with the slight delay Bluetooth can have sometimes, leads me to believe I didn't push the button all the way and do it again unnecessarily.

Other Thoughts: The device has quite a lot of features to be honest, and a lot of them I haven't used. I almost never have it connected to my phone to receive calls, so I can't accurately gauge the quality of calls received or the quality the other person hears.
The call button on my phone just seems to call up Google, which I've done accidentally and used a few colorful words at, which it then cheerfully searched for, accurately, so I would be led to believe the microphone is of good quality.
There are a lot of button combinations one can use, like the both volume buttons down for one second to cycle equalizers. However that is the only one I remember and ever use. I'm sure reading the manual would help with that. I would say definitely get this over the 700. Any problem with it isn't nearly bad enough to outweigh the cons.
I love this headset. All I need is a dongle and I would be good for using it with my desktop.
