OtterBox Commuter Envy Green PC / Gunmetal Grey Slip Cover Case for iPhone 4/4S APL4-I4SUN-F2-E4OTR

Pros: Snug fit. Nice look. Slides into pocket.

Cons: Poor quality. I have purchased several Otterbox cases and been satisfied until this case. It is already falling apart with the plastic having cracked, bent, and broken in many different places. I am not rough with my phone, either. This case just can't take a hit.

Pros: Nice, cool looking, protects phone

Pros: Rubber portion is durable

Cons: Could not fit my audio cable into the headphone jack - had to slightly bend the case back to allow for the cable to be inserted. Case finally snapped in half after 4th or 5th time of doing so. Plastic touchscreen cover was nearly impossible to get on without bubbling - had to take it off. Waste of money and not like any of the high-quality Otterbox cases I've owned in the past for other devices.

Pros: Interesting color combo, it was on sale!

Cons: Fit and finish is mediocre at best.

Other Thoughts: I had the first gen otterbox commuter in black for my iphone 4 when they first came out. The camera cutout on that was a poor design so I was glad to see it was fixed on this generation, which is why I ordered it. Color is pretty cool, like an army green (picture shown is wayyy darker than in reality). The two case pieces do not match up exactly, and there is a lot of flashing left on the outer shell. Edges are very sharp, and rubber inside shell has flashing and feels very cheap.

Not sure what happened between the two generations of Commuters, but this one is garbage.

Pros: Sleek and looks nice. The button access is pretty good. It's not too bulky and I can tell there's plenty of rubber for a shock absorber. The plastic shell allows it to easily slide in and out of your pocket.

Cons: The plastic shell that goes on the outside of the rubber layer seems extremely flimsy to me. I've heard that it cracks on impact, and I have yet to see that for myself but I wouldn't be surprised if it does that now that I've felt it firsthand. Honestly, if I were in charge of Otterbox, I would reduce the thickness of the rubber and make the plastic more sturdy.

Also, the top button takes a bit more force to press than I would care to have. It's not a major con, and I'm sure I'll get used to it, but since the volume buttons are so easily pressed, I would expect the same out of the top button.

Other Thoughts: For its price listed here on Newegg, it's not bad at all. But the MSRP is way higher than it's worth. If you pay more than 25 bucks on it, I'd say that'd be too much. I'm worried the plastic shell will crack when I drop it, considering that it's the shell that holds the rubber layer on snugly. Without that shell, it's kind of worthless for protection.

Pros: Fits my iPhone perfectly, not to big but good protection. I got the envy green/black and it looks rel good.

Pros: Everything you need in one package. Great fit, stylish and the envy green/black is a great color combination. Also it's nice to finally have a case that's not a pain using all the buttons and the camera cut out is big enough so as not to block the flash.
