With rich audio, unsurpassed call clarity and industry best wind noise reduction the BlueAnt Q2 is the best sounding Bluetooth headset ever built.

This smart Bluetooth headset comes packed with more advanced features than any other headset on the market today. The Q2 includes a comprehensive voice recognition command set, text to speech technology that announces the names of incoming callers, voice access to a world of information and incoming SMS readout.

  • newegg Voice Control. Voice Dial. Voice Answer. The Q2's comprehensive command set allows you to pair, configure, and control your device, as well as make and receive calls, all using your voice. When the phone rings, responding is as simple as saying the words "Answer" or "Ignore", and to make a call you simply say "Phone Commands" and the Q2 will activate your phone’s voice dialing feature. The Q2 even provides help and support along the way. It talks you through the pairing process to get you started, and if you forget the voice commands you can just ask the device "What Can I Say?" to hear your options. If you have trouble getting the voice control to work for you every time, simply use the Sensitivity Level command to adjust the voice recognition setting so that the it works best for your voice.
  • newegg Caller Name Announce with TTS When you receive a call from one of your contacts, the Q2 will use its integrated Text to Speech (TTS) engine to announce the caller's name, so you will always know who is calling without looking at your phone. The Q2 accomplishes this by automatically transferring a copy of your mobile phone contacts after pairing. It can store up to 2,000 phonebook entries for each paired device.
  • newegg Hear Your Messages On The Go BlueAnt developed an Android application that you can download for free to any Android 2.0+ handset. Once you have installed the application on your phone, you will hear your incoming text messages read out automatically through your connected Q2 headset. Alternatively, BlackBerry and Android users can install the Vlingo SafeReader application to hear email and SMS messages read out automatically on their connected BlueAnt device.
  • newegg Voice Access to the World The Q2 integrates with Bing-411 to provide voice access to a world of information. Just by saying the words you can hear stock quotes, movie times, directions, weather forecasts, sports results, news and traffic updates.
  • newegg A2DP Audio Streaming The Q2 features integrated A2DP streaming audio functionality, so you can listen to music or podcasts, and hear turn-by-turn direction information from a GPS application on your phone. You can also use this feature to stream audio from a Bluetooth-enabled computer to the Q2.
  • newegg True Multipoint Technology True multipoint technology means that you can connect two phones to the Q2 at the same time and answer whichever one rings. With true multipoint, both phones remain connected to the headset at all times, so if you have calls on both phones at the same time you can use the Q2 buttons to switch between calls and phones.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Bother > Doesn't Last

Pros: cheaper then a Era... But no where near as good.

Cons: Poor construction. falling apart after 2 months. Earpiece no longer stay in rubber piece. Mesh is falling off the earpiece microphone area. Q2 badge even fell off.
I would stay away.
Spend the $ and buy the Jawbone Era

1 out of 5 eggspaper weight

Pros: n/a

Cons: Dead on arrival. The charge light blinks for a minute and then stops. Tried the included charger and 2 usb cables. Can't charge it and can't turn it on.

Other Thoughts: How does this happen?!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Very easy to use. The headphone will guide you through the installation process and pairing with your phone. Great voice quality for talking. Does not use that proprietary power charger that the Q1 has, tt's micro-USB now. No need to update firmware because the Q2 all came with the latest firmware. Talk time lasted longer than the Q1. Loud and clear on both ends. Tons of voice command options.

Cons: Slightly larger than the Q1 but it has better hardware inside so I guess it's not really a cons.

Other Thoughts: I'm all about sound quality and this one is by far the best I've heard compare to anything in its class. I don't have any battery problem, it lasted me through a 7hr work day driving, navigation, and talking. I just wish it has a bass to the sounds like regular earphone has while listening to music.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Light Weight, Sleek, Multi-Functional, Great Sound Quality, Easy Pairing, Responds to Voice Commands well.

Cons: Small USB Cable for charging. Small Volume Down button, Difficult to push. Easy to hit Vol+ when trygin to turn down the volume. Having issues playing music from my phone, Q2 claims it's cantabile. Have not been able to get it to work yet. Some errors with voice commands and who you wish to call.

Other Thoughts: Subtracted an EGG for the following reasons:

Listening to music should be easier w/Bluetooth connected, music should play though it w/out an issue. +/- volume could be located closer to front top of the set, not top back where it's harder to push the Vol -. TXT read is not the greatest. You have to download a separate APP which takes place of your primary txt msg and call feature. NOt excited about it taking up more space on my phones memory.

1 out of 5 eggsFollow up after a month

Pros: Sound quality and readout of caller ID

Cons: This product is a FAIL, Battery life is NOT as expected and is NOT acceptable, Ill stick to other brands from now on, Also range has not improved (why would it)

Other Thoughts: Again, My $16 headpiece blows this away in every other aspect other than sound quality, NOT worth the money IMHO

3 out of 5 eggsHeadphone works great

Pros: Great clear sound and reception. easy to hookup, voice commands work well

Cons: Will not hold the phone over much of a distance (I have had it disconnect from the phone when the phone was in by pocket).
No 64 bit updater to update firmware (You must find a 32 bit computer to update your firmware)

Other Thoughts: The lack of a 64 bit updater is extremely annoying. Almost all new computers are running 64 bit operating systems so you have to find an older 32 bit computer to update your firmware. Three years ago I was told "we are working on it." I get the same message today. How many years does it take to make one of these?

3 out of 5 eggsNice little ear piece poor range

Pros: Excellent sound quality, Good feel, Quality build,
Love the read out of caller ID names.

Cons: My cheap $15 samsung has 4 times the range, This Q2 has about 3-4 ft range, Almost making it unusable at times (sometimes have to pull phone from pocket just to pickup to my ear) Tried resetting the device and no avail. Would be 5 star and perfect device if it weren't for the poor range. I might of received a slight lemon? Seems to happen a lot for me lately!

4 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!!

Pros: This thing is great!!! Walked me through pairing upon turning it on.
Loaded my phone book with no problems.
Clear on both ends of the call, even in the wind!
I drive a big truck and even when driving down the interstate with the window down, clear calls.
Voice interactive.

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Comes with enough ear pieces that anyone can make it comfortable.

5 out of 5 eggsQ2-By far the best

Pros: Used with Android Froyo this truly is a handsfree headset. (Be sure to get the Android App) Very comfortable headset! I have several to compare to including Motorola HX1, Plantronics Voyager Pro and the BlueAnt V1x. This is the best sounding among the bunch and it streams A2DP. The warranty is thice as long as the others at 2 years.

Cons: The charge time is lengthy in comparison to the V1x.

Other Thoughts: For $66.99 and free shipping what are you waiting for? Retail is $129.99.
