1 out of 5 eggsover priced toy

Pros: nice reach sound

Cons: range 10-15 feet, battery life not more 3 hours

Other Thoughts: there's other comparators on the market for more affordable price!

2 out of 5 eggsBose

Pros: Hard to break

Cons: -Bose is overpriced, always.
-Bose doesn't publish any specifications, the reason is their sound quality almost universally sucks (they claim they don't because knowing the specifications would 'ruin the experience' between user and product *bose employee proceeds to taste his farts while smacking lips*).
Bose has poor quality because their frequency range is smaller than other brands and their wave forms are usually all over the place.
-Bose is like Apple, if Apple had absolutely no redeeming qualities besides style. Bose markets like crazy, sells polished turds at high margins, and hides their lack of quality.

Bose is kind of like the Monster Cable of speakers.

Other Thoughts: There is a reason musicians, djs, producers, or even music enthusiasts that peddle in lossless don't buy Bose.

5 out of 5 eggsOh yeah....

Pros: Packs quite the punch! Sound is very close to real life. Sturdy feel. Build quality is second to none.

Cons: None that come to mind.

Other Thoughts: Price is absolutely worth it. It fills rooms with easy, and looks great doing it.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Speaker!

Pros: This speaker packs quite the punch for such a small speaker! I was really surprised at how deep the bass is and how loud this speaker is.

Cons: The price, obviously (but it is a Bose, so the price is worth it for this type of quality). When they advertise battery life for "up to 7 hours", I assume that, that means that your phone/MP3 player is connected via an auxiliary cord and it is on the lowest volume. I have taken this speaker to work, connected my phone to bluetooth, and turned it all the way and I am lucky to even get an hour and a half of music before it dies.

Other Thoughts: I use this speaker all the time; I disconnected my computer speakers from my desktop and use this instead! I also take it to work to listen to music, and love the portability of it! I would recommend this speaker, but it is still pretty quiet if you work in a loud environment (I work in a factory and have a hard time hearing it unless I am very close to it), but it is still surprisingly loud for the size of it.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing with one rather annoying flaw

Pros: -Amazing sound quality for a couple 1" speakers (when using an equalizer to cancel out it's annoying internal equalizer)
-Goes pretty loud
-Amazingly strong bass for such a small package
-If you ever need to throw a brick at something, this will suffice in place of a brick and will probably even still work after throwing it.
-Simple, durable, no frills

Cons: -Overpowering bass and highs
-Somewhat unclear mids
-The eq Bose decided to put in these speakers makes them sound like a desktop speaker set with a small subwoofer set way too loud.
-Costs $200 but yet it still requires an external eq to sound decent. This is completely unacceptable since they could have VERY EASILY set the internal eq properly themselves.
-Latency; It obviously has latency over Bluetooth, this is not a con as it is to be expected and is probably only going to be used for music. However, it also has latency when using wired. The tiny bit of latency is only noticeable if playing music on this and another set of speakers at the same time.

Other Thoughts: The problem with unclear mids, overpowering bass, and overpowering highs can be mostly fixed by using an equalizer to turn bass down by ~12 dB and the highs down by ~10 dB while leaving the mids alone. This decreases the "impressive factor" but increases the clarity. The "impressive factor" is the same thing that a well known brand with a lowercase b on all of it's headphones uses.

I found that I can not fall asleep while listening to music with these speakers, but after setting an eq to cancel out the overzealous eq built into these speakers it sounded much better and I could actually fall asleep to music playing on these speakers.

TLDR, these are amazing speakers for their size, and if not for Bose's decision to use a bad sounding eq in them, they would have been 5 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Sound for it's size. Only for phones and other mobile devices.

Pros: This has great sound quality for it's size.
Tiny and very portable
tiny and very portable charging dock and plug
heavy high quality construction

Cons: - Very overpriced for it's output
- sound falls off rapidly as you distance yourself from the speaker.
- narrow cone of sound.

Other Thoughts: Here's the thing. If you're someone traveling with only a cell phone, tablet or laptop. This device is meant for you. If you're looking for compact computer speakers for your desk you'll be disappointed.

While this one little speaker puts out great sound for it's compact size any mid quality range 2 speaker computer system or a low end system with a sub woofer will out perform this speaker.

If you have this guy a foot away from you with the volume cranked it sounds pretty darn good. But as soon as you walk away from the speaker it becomes painfully obvious its still just 1 little speaker sitting there in front of you.

It has a narrow cone of sound so if you're 2 feet away it you only have to lean to the right to move outside the sound cone. If you are more than 6 feet away the speaker you notice the sound quality start to fade and it becomes obvious that it's a small little speaker trying it's hardest to pretend to be a bigger one lol.

While good for a traveller I have to say that there are cheaper portable blue tooth 2 speaker systems that out perform this speaker. Maybe not in fine sound detail or the base but certainly in "room filling" volume.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressive

Pros: Very small, good battery life, incredibly impressive sound for its size

Cons: Range is a bit shorter than I was expecting
Have to turn the unit on manually rather than it auto-detecting my phone when I'm in range and turning on

Other Thoughts: It pretty much sounds like the Bose Wave Radio which is impressive for its small size. The highs aren't incredibly bright and the bass drops doesn't go all that low, but the performance is far better than what I thought were reasonable expectations from something of this size.

I'd ultimately describe the sound as a nice, comfortable warm sound. About what you'd expect from a halfway decent bookshelf stereo. Great for some jazz and lounge music on the go.

5 out of 5 eggsMy new best friend

Pros: Great sound.
Plenty of volume.
Well constructed.

Cons: Little pricey but its Bose.
Wish it had come with vehicle adapter for the price.

Other Thoughts: Well kinda hard to say something that has not been said already. However I can tell you that I was very surprised with the sound quality and shear volume of this little speaker. The range is very good also. I mainly use my apple I touch.

5 out of 5 eggsBox of Rock

Pros: This little thing packs a serious punch. I am a professional sound engineer. Fussy about audio. It's not flat freq response, and there are lots of hyped frequencies, but it still sounds great for it's size.

Cons: higher cost than similar units in its class
