- Pros: This product works well when set-up properly. I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and have a strong understanding of radio signals and repeaters. One thing that is a must with this product. Keep the Signal (receive) antenna vertical and keep the Base (transmit) antenna horizontal. If they are both focused in the same plane, your signal will never get boosted as the two signals will fight and cause interference.
- Cons: I wish it had a little more power and a directional antenna standard.
- Other Thoughts: All in all, this has improved my signal in the house drastically. Before I could only use it in one room of a 2500 sqft 2 story house. Now, it works in all rooms including the surrounding area in the front and back of the house. Make sure the receive antenna is in the strongest and highest point of the house. In the attic will work well for almost all people.
great
- Pros: This product has worked great for us. We get really bad reception in our office... we are down in a little valley, and we don't get reception through our metal roof. We were always getting dropped calls or no service. Now, over half of our building has perfect reception. I am online ordering another one for the other half of the building.
- Cons: It was not the easiest to install... the key is to make sure the receiving antenna and the booster inside the house have a minimum of 12 feet of height between them vertically. Horizontal distance is irrelevant, but it must be 12' apart vertically in order to work properly. This is nowhere in the instructions, we just happened to have an expert in the field around who told us this.
- Other Thoughts: Also, I want to add that if you are putting this on top of a metal roof... try to get at least 5 or 6 feet of height above the roof... otherwise, the metal roof will interfere a little bit with the antenna's ability to receive signal.
It also helps to know which direction the tower is in, but it's not necessary ;)

Does the Job!
- Pros: Very happy with this unit! I have ATT and live in the country and got about 1 bar of service in my entire house. Maybe 2 bars by a window and nothing in the basement. Didn't want to be stuck paying for a landline. I have my own tech business and work in the basement and would miss calls all of the time. I bought this unit and got great results. I have no attic and roof attachment wasn't an option. Attached the attenna about 6ft above the ground on the corner of my porch that gets about 4 bars and ran the coax through basement brick and attached the wireless base to the side of my basement stairs. I now have 4 bars in the 1st level of my house and 2 - 3 bars in the 2nd and basement levels. Havn't dropped a call yet! I probably could get better results if I could mount the attenna higher but the results are good enough for me.
- Cons: Price but the unit works well. Installation is not hard but pay attention to the details and it should work great. The best results are if you attach the attenna on the roof or attic but you can also attach the attenna outside a window or another point around your house that gets good signal and you still should get good results.
- Other Thoughts: If you're thinking about buying this. Do it!
Great signal booster for cell phone and rocket stick
- Pros: This works absolutely great. Not only did it turn my marginal signal into 4 and 5 bars, but it also boosted my rocket stick so the internet was actually usable. I put the antenna on the roof for the best reception. In the attic, the signal goes down by about 1 bar. The nearest tower is 4 miles through trees for me, so this signal booster did a great job.
- Cons: No problems installing and making it work. The antenna does have to be a good distance way from the base unit to get the best results.
YX510-PCS-CEL
- Pros: Easy to install. very good directions. Works as advertised.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I live in a metal building with 5 bars outside on the ground and 0 bars inside before installing unit.
After installing unit in a temp setup with outside ant 4 ft above the ground and the inside ant 2 ft higher and 8 ft away from the outside ant I have 5 bars all over the house. Phone works great.
