1 out of 5 eggsNot good.

Pros: Zero

Cons: * Does not succeed in improving signal strength, main objective failed.
* Even after you get the constant green light, it is fairly finicky to interference from metal objects or having the phone to close to the antenna, or having the antenna to close to the base unit. Even if it worked well it would still be confusing to someone who didn't understand etc.

2 out of 5 eggsHas potential

Pros: Easy to setup, decent implementation for a wireless antenna, Did get a 3 bar jump in reception but see the cons

Cons: It does boost the wireless signal but my HTC Touch with Sprint has to be actually held against the antenna to get and boost, takes several attempts to get it setup properly

Other Thoughts: Took a while to actually get it working, after about a month it gave out. the power light now flickers red and green for a few seconds and then goes out

1 out of 5 eggsHunk of garbage

Pros: None

Cons: Unit simply does not do what is advertised. There is ZERO increase in signal, the only thing that works is the green light indicating the signal is allegedly being amplified and Wi-Ex "technical support" dopes have every excuse on the planet why it is the buyers fault that it doesn't work. "There must be metal around the window", "If you have a signal already it cannot help, it is only for a room with no signal", and then when you tell them that you have no signal, they respond "You need some sort of signal to be amplified".

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this product, and from Wi-Ex as a company.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none

Cons: Plug it in, green light, no increase in signal, no matter how close I put my phone. I followed all other directions as written. This product is completely worthless. I'm not sure why Newegg would even sell it.

Other Thoughts: suction cups don't work very well...

1 out of 5 eggsinferior goods

Pros: Newegg got this to me in a couple of days - great service as usual. I have purchased thousands of dollars of gear from Newegg over the years. I also recommend purchases to a research lab. There is nothing positive one can say about this product.

Cons: Newegg should not be selling this product as it is at best inferior goods - that is it does not work. It can carry a signal and deliver it as a weaker signal.

Other Thoughts: If you need this sort of gear, buy a wilson cellular amp and cellular antenna. These actually work. They cost a lot more money. With the exact same setup, I get four bars with the Wilson equipment and no usable service from the zboost product.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Signal Improvement

Pros: Nice Concept and easy to set up.

Cons: Didn't improve my signal at all. I tried the multiple locations in my house.

Other Thoughts: Read the Return Policy on this Item- This item is listed as 'Non Refundable Exchange Only' I had to call Newegg and ask for an exception to the return policy. (They ended up giving me a refund)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat if used properly!

Pros: Inexpensive for a signal booster. Works when installed properly.

Cons: Phone needs to be within a couple of feet of pickup antenna (ideally less than a foot) to be effective.

Other Thoughts: I use this in my home office since my cell phone is my only phone. Before I installed this call quality was very poor, basically unusuable. Now, I have 1-2 more bars on my phone, and very good to excellent call quality. Base unit (which you suction cup to a window) does have to be at least 6 feet from pickup antenna (which I have suctioned to my desklamp). I keep the phone about 6 inches from the pickup and everything works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsdoesn't work

Pros: easy setup

Cons: it doesn't work. i needed cell access for my basement, so i bought this thinking it would get me signal. i've placed the external antenna where i get 4-5 bars, but get zero boost from the device. i should have gone with the more powerful booster

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Setup with this item is a breeze. Take the antenna, stick it to your window, run the cord to the base and turn it on. I used to experience dropped calls all the time in my home office and no reception anywhere else in my home.

I know they say the range on this thing is 6 feet, but I'm getting noticably better reception 20 ft away down the hall. Definately a good buy for the price and fixed all my problems.

Cons: The base unit has to be as far away from the antenna as possible. This makes setup difficult in home office situations where your desk is right next to your window and you have to intentionally bypass the most logical place to put the base in favor of fully extending the connection cord from the antenna to the base unit.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't really be sure how well this works.

Pros: If it works, then cool.

Cons: You have to have some kind of signal to get it to work.
If where you live has spurious reception, this won't help.
I was very confused on how to set this up.
The range is only 6 feet.
