Jabra BT8010 Bluetooth Headset

  • 10 hours talk time
  • Noise reduction
  • Multipoint connections
ICON Loading...

Jabra has another winner with this unit. Use it as a monophone headset for work and driving, or turn it into a stereo unit for listening to your favorite music. Even with the stereo attachment, it weighs only 1.31 ounces, and gives you up to ten hours of talk time and up to three hundred hours of standby time. Digital signal processing reduces noise and allows automatic volume adjustment.

The Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) scrollable display gives you greater control over headset functions, which can include contact numbers and music selections. The lithium polymer battery charges in only two hours, so you experience less down-time due to charging.

The over the ear design gives you hours of comfortable wearing and the A2DP and AVRCP protocols give you stereo and remote control in one unit. (Your Bluetooth device needs to support those to gain maximum benefit from the headset.) This gadget has more features than I have room to extol, so check it out for yourself. I think you'll like it.

  • newegg Advanced Bluetooth Profile Support The Jabra BT8010 supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile) for best possible sound quality and remote control functionality.
  • newegg Digital Signal Processing Digital Signal Processing technology reduces background noise and automatically adjusts volume to ensure crystal-clear conversations even in extremely noisy environments.
  • newegg OLED Display and Jog Wheel With the clear OLED display and jog wheel, operations such as personalizing your music settings and checking the caller ID, battery level, volume level, and music information have become easier than ever.
  • newegg 10 Hours of Talk Time The Jabra BT8010 provides a long continuous talk time of up to 10 hours and up to 300 hours of standby time on a full charge to liberate you from the hassle of frequent battery recharges.

1 out of 5 eggsUSED - NOT NEW UNIT

Pros: Nice unit. Good features and sounds though my unit is very crackly. I believe this is because it is faulty and was returned by another customer.
It says OEM but this should still be NEW! I can prove it is used because the unit tracks phone numbers internally and there arsomeone elses phone numbers . . . some of which I called!

5 out of 5 eggsMost used item I've purchased off

Pros: I've had this headset for almost 6 months now and it is exellent. I use this with my Blackjack 1 and purchased it primarily for it's A2DP support. I use it most frequently at work without the stereo attachment to be inconspicuous while listening to music. Using it for calls is flawless, never had any problems. They can hear me clearly and I hear them just as well. I typically do not use the stereo attachment, although the few times I have it was great sound quality. It will play music all day long, and take several calls with battery life to spare!

Cons: It ocassionally gets choppy, but it is usually due to some sort of interference, such as a microwave. The display on the side can be inconvenient because it shows up with a play/pause or skip track icon which is not too good when you are trying to be inconspicuous.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It does what it is designed to do.

Cons: Range could be better, but it may be the phone so I'm not sure on that account.

Other Thoughts: Comes with an extra earpiece, nice for when you want to listen to music or make sure you hear the party you are talking to.

3 out of 5 eggsNeato but uncomfortable

Pros: Coolest headset around, neat phone book, vibrating earpiece, loud enough, stereo.

Cons: Really really really uncomfortable. Caller ID of names only matches those uploaded in the phone, and the match is very finicky about whether a 1 precedes the area code. Low bluetooth signal results in a lot of static when the phone is on the other side of your body from the headset.

Other Thoughts: This is the first bluetooth headset I've ever lost. And I didn't mind one tiny bit. It's cool but so uncomfortable for me that I didn't really use it much.

5 out of 5 eggsJabra BT8010

Pros: Headset has great sound. Plays audio from my phone without having to connect the stereo adaptor.
I have not experienced any audio dropouts so others experience may be related to their phone or the firmware version on their headset.
Volume is GREAT. Beats the heck out of my Motorola HT820 stereo headset.

Cons: The piece that hangs over your ear is only pressure fitted into the headpiece and it eventually works itself loose and falls off. It would be better if it were more permanently attached.

Other Thoughts: Another reviewer said they had to connect the stereo adaptor in order to get sound. This is not true for me, possibly because I flashed the most recent firmware for the device. I was quite surprised to see that I could get audio from my phone without he stereo adaptor.
I primarily listen to audio books so cannot comment on the quality of the stereo sound.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, not great'

Pros: Size; portability; phone speaking and hearing clarity; battery life; good fit and finish

Cons: Music volume low (may be my recording level); bass is lacking; not for noisy environment use;

Other Thoughts: Overall a good product; better suited for low to medium noise environment; the connecting cord sticks to my neck when I turn my head, pulling the earplugs loose or out of my ear

5 out of 5 eggsOne of The Best Available!

Pros: This headset is one of the best available. I have been testing all the new ones as they come out to find one that works better. The incoming audio quality is as good as a handset. The fit less fatiguing than most. Battery life is excellent. As a stereo headset it sounds great!

Cons: No headset is perfect (and the jawbone I & II are far from it). The background noise does muddy up the conversation for the person the other side, but because of the quality of the mic in this model conversations are generally productive. There are sometimes pairing issues when trying to pair two phones with the unit, but these issues can ALWAYS be overcome with procedures provided by tech support.

Other Thoughts: Bluetooth headset manufacturers don't seems to understand how microphones work. The closer a microphone is to a source the less background noise there will be. Its basic physics. No level of fufu "Noise Canceling" technology will make a bluetooth headset sound as good as talking on a handset as look as the microphone is by your ear. Your voice comes out of the mouth not your ear...weird huh?

4 out of 5 eggsEhhh?

Pros: Hmmm. This is a nice little headset but I did not know I had to keep the stero piece and the main piece connected to get the sound from my mp3 player. #$@!$ I don't like that but it does sound nice and it works great. I just have to wrap the main piece around me like i'm some nut

Cons: two pieces with the stereo piece being a little beetle-bug type replica of the main headset......don't buy this if you can't stand the two pieces dangling off you

Other Thoughts: Jabra, I'm going to give you another search continues for a cheap *SINGLE* piece headset

4 out of 5 eggsSolid but not without it's faults

Pros: It works extremely well with my LG ENV2 and after I figured out how to do it, it's been fine switching between my two phones. (1 for work and 1 for personal use)

Cons: The audio quality when making calls using my nokia hasn't been consistent. sometimes its crystal clear and other times it's real fuzzy. It doesn't seem to matter where the phone is in relation to the earpiece either.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have to say in I have tried over 13 different headsets and when i found this one I was overjoyed and I love the caller id feature and the ability to dial without the phone the music can be listened to with just one earpiece or both I let my wife try it and now i will have to buy a new one but such is life

Cons: My wife liked it but not really a bad thing i guess seeing i get to buy a new gadget

Other Thoughts: If you do not like a larger headset you may not like it I have a good sized ear and muy wife has a tiny one but she can wear it and also i can wear it and it's not at all uncomfortable
