1 out of 5 eggsFaulty used unit sent to me

Pros: Reviews are great in electronics forums
Prompt shipping
Prompt refund of my money upon my call about the faulty unit

Cons: New egg shipped me faulty used unit, while I ordered for new unit.
headset had scratches all over it.
headset had almot 0-5% volume at maximum sound.
Jabra's firmware upgrade works only from a WIN XP machine and will not work from vista machines yet.

Other Thoughts: I realized that New egg has shipped faulty used Jabra BT 8040 pieces to lots of customers as I read through the reviews. But they refunded my money promptly as soon as I called the customer service about the fault.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good for it's price

Pros: Small, lasts long enough for my day, and it has a very good fit into the ear almost perfectly.

Cons: Although loud enough indoors, not so much loud enough when on the road while the windows are open.

Other Thoughts: I was thinking maybe they could have a better ear piece, if you look inside the ear peice and remove it, the entire speaker section is not being fully used because of the rubber section for the ears.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Pleased - Refurbished

Pros: I've had a few bluetooth headsets at varying prices and this is by far the best for the price.

Cons: Refurbished??!! I got one that was refurbished?

Other Thoughts: This is the only time that newegg has ever hoodwinked me.

4 out of 5 eggsRecomended

Pros: Small, light, strong build, sound great (not the best very good)
I ordered two of these, they' all come in a plactic bag (with a instruction, extra gels, bluetooth, ac power charger, and usb card)

Cons: Refurnished not OEM. Come in a plastic bag. I ordered two one as a gift, but I had to send in a replacement because one is worn out. Newegg happily replace it, though it's still in process.

Other Thoughts: It's worth for 20 bucks. I would recommend it to who also look for a2dp music streaming.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Looks Brand New. This is one of the only headsets that will do A2DP Audio. You can listen to your mp3s through this headset. Very small and lightweight. I wear it all day while working on cars, in the yard, construction, and it has never fallen out of my ear. Very comfortable.

Cons: Didn't come with extra ear gels. Luckily I had some left from the last one of these that I bought. (Dog ate the headset again)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small, lightweight, fits good in ear and STAYS IN, decent battery life (all day for average calling times), have it connected to my phone and computer which has bluetooth capabilities. I can listen to music or video from WMP and also use it for Gmail video calls as a wireless headset.

Cons: Ear was sore for the first week and a half but now i sometimes forget I'm wearing it. Main con about it though is the fact that it sometimes "muds" my voice. the person i'm on the phone with will ask me to stop slurring my words.. found it helps to make sure the mic isn't touching my cheek.

Other Thoughts: I've tried shaking the headset out of my ear... no go. Quite impressed by that. Some have complained about the charger fitting it.. it is a snug fit.. but it is nice that it doesn't fall off the charger cord if you have it hanging.

4 out of 5 eggsJabra BT8040 in the ear...

Pros: works! easy link first time to my Nextel i335 business phone. stays in my ear all day and dose'nt hurt. Battery life is sufficient for a full day on the phone - at least 40
5 minute calls

Cons: charger is not exactly the right fit. have to wiggle the micro usb type plug untill the indicator comes on. It is refurbed according to the label.

Other Thoughts: price is low with free shipping from the Best on the Web...NEWEGG!

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: This is a great device except for the one I recieved.

Cons: I bought this for my mother as a gift to use for her phone and iPod. The page said it was a bulk item, so i figured it was new it wasn't it was refurbished. After a couple days of use her phone kept restarting so I figured it was just her phone. So I paired it to my blackberry and now it restarts at least three times a day. I should also note after she got hers I liked it so bought myself one off of another site and I didn't have any problems with it. So my point is if you are going to sell a referbished headset state that it is, because referbished is not just like new obviously.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Jabra headset

Pros: This is the best Jabra headset I have owned. I've tried the JX10 and JX10 v.2 and a number of other headsets from Jabra and other companies. By far this is the best headset I have ever used. Thanks Newegg.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsNo Other Like it

Pros: One of the only Headsets with A2DP Profile. Can use with Media players / MP3 players. Very small design. I have purchased 3 of them, One of them fell out of my ear when I was on the bike going upwards of 100mph. My dog must have swallowed the 2nd one. So here I am buying another one. No other headset can compare talk time, A2DP, and tiny size.

Cons: Falls out of my ear at high speeds on the motorcycle. Large dogs have a rough time digesting these, but it does all come out eventually... and it actually works while being digested. I could faintly hear my dogs stomach ring when I called my phone. Amazing.

Other Thoughts: It is EXTREMELY difficult to find headsets that use A2DP profile. Hardly any websites give any information about the bluetooth profiles. Personally, I think they should say what the product will do. Instead of just saying weighs 10 grams, purple, comes with plug.
Very Very frustrating. But, this headset does everything. HSP, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP.

When I lost the first one of these, I went back to the AT&T store to find another one. None of their product boxes have any information so I bought one, stood there at the cash register, opened the box, tried it out, and it wouldn't do A2DP, so I returned it and bought another model. I went through 8 different manufacturers headsets before I decided to buy another Jabra BH-8040. (AT&T discontinued this and replaced it with another model, which, is bigger and doesn't do as much.)
