1 out of 5 eggsI didn't think these things existed anymore

Pros: None

Cons: Literally does nothing

Other Thoughts: I have been in the cell phone industry for 8 years. I thought these things went the way of the dodo about 5 years ago. For any who don't know, the other reviews citing they do nothing are correct. This is literally a sticker and nothing else, it does nothing to improve cell reception. These are and have always been pure snake oil, and to be honest I'm surprised Newegg carries such an obvious scam product. Trust me, these provide no benefit and are just a money sink for no reason.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's OK

Pros: Lengthens battery life.
Allows better connections when the signal is sketchy.
Helps my phone not to drop calls in low signal areas.
Works dispite the fact my phone has no external antenna (instructions say that one is required)

Cons: Doesn't improve reception by much.

Other Thoughts: My mother lives in a low signal area, where reception is flakey, calls get dropped all the time, and my battery only lasts a day and a half when I'm not even using it, because the phone is constantly searching for the signal. Plus calls usually get dropped. (In fact, reception is better in her basement than upstairs!)

When I put this thing in my phone, it stopped loosing the 'carrier' signal, which quadrupled my battery life, and my dropped calls fell by half!

It's no cure-all, but it has noticably improved my signal, and I didn't even take the paper off of it. Just stuck it behind my battery, closed the case, and let friction do the rest.

1 out of 5 eggsIt's a sticker

Pros: None, it's a scam

Cons: I worked as a cellular technician for 4 years; this is a sticker. If you think a sticker will improve cellular reception, don't you think the manufacturer would have incorporated this into the phone in the first place? I saw this SCAM back in 2003. It's a scam, folks. Don't do it.

Other Thoughts: If "it works" is defined by: it made the inventor rich, then yes, it might work. If "it works" means acutally functions as a cellular improvement, then, well, you bought a sticker. I would repair cell phones, and remove these from old phones, line them around my computer monitor to improve the "monitor's reception". Really folks? I'm surprised Newegg would sell this junk. It's an insult to anyone smart enough to pick up a cell phone and make a call.

1 out of 5 eggsCan't believe Newegg is selling this!

Pros: Makes you think reception improves.

Cons: Leaves a sticky residue when you remove it after leaving it on your phone after realizing it doesn't work

Other Thoughts: I bet if a certain pomaceous fruit company markets this item, the world will believe it works

1 out of 5 eggsThis is a scam

Pros: Not likely to damage equipment.

Cons: Use of this product will not improve anything in any way, and can contribute to 'magical thinking'.

Other Thoughts: Newegg should be ashamed for allowing scam products like this to appear on it.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless junk

Pros: Psychologically speaking, you may try to convince yourself this product works so that you won't feel as guilty about spending money on a useless product.

Cons: This product has ABSOLUTELY ZERO EFFECT.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product about 8 years ago for my Samsung SCH-8500. I'm still using this phone today (yeah, upgrading to an Android phone as I type this). This sticker had NO real improvement.
For a brief while, I thought there was an improvement. The signal meter had more bars than usual. With some use I discovered those extra bars went away as soon as I placed a call. The sticker was fooling the phone into thinking there was more signal until it actually NEEDED that signal.
Now, 8 years later, the sticker is still on my phone, under the battery. The 'special circuit' design is half rubbed off. Yup, it's NOT a wire or real circuit. It's just a gold-looking paint.

As another reviewer stated, if this in any way worked, the phone manufacturers would include it! Last I checked, signal was an important factor in cell phones. Why would a manufacturer NOT include something that helped?

5 out of 5 eggsThese things work

Pros: Any noticeable signal reception is worth this price.

Cons: nothing, really.

Other Thoughts: I've been using one of these for months now, and i bought a bunch for some of my close friends and family. every single person was impressed with them over the next few weeks and immediately for that matter. look at reviews on the technology itself if you have doubts. it's worth a shot isn't it?

1 out of 5 eggsThese things don't do anything.

Pros: If you have too much money, you can easily get rid of it by buying this.

Cons: It costs money, and yet does nothing.

Other Thoughts: Basically, no matter what handwavy sorts of things they put on on the product packaging or say in the description, these things simply do nothing. If this had some actual effect, you could expect to see numbers - for instance, "this product boosts the antenna gain in most wireless phones by <some number> <some units relevant to antenna gain>.", or perhaps "this product increases antenna sensitivity by an average of <some number> <some units>". Unfortunately, the manufacturer can't say things like that because this has no measurable effect.

Anyway, think about it - if you could actually make your calls better just by putting a four dollar sticker on your phone, wouldn't the phone manufacturer have already built in something like that? It would make a great marketing bullet point, and cost next to nothing.
