Additional Features
Long Range, Excellent Clarity and Greater Security
DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices.

Night Mode Lets You Choose Where the Phone Rings
Now you can program each handset1 to ring — or not — at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping.

The Phone That Talks
Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID2 information is announced between rings. Panasonic's KX-TG9300 series DECT phones also boast a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low with a "please charge phone" reminder.

Block Unwanted Calls
Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. After the information is stored, those unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again.

Never Miss a Call with the Light-Up Indicator
Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. So turn off the ringer and never miss a call.

1 out of 5 eggsSad

Pros: Bright White back lit LCD panel.

Takes 2 standard Ni-MH rechargeable AAA batteries. If they ever go bad, a set of 4 can be bought for under $10.

Cons: The handsets constantly lose connection to the base unit making it impossible to answer a call, showing "No link to base" error message on the screen.
The base will ring but the handset will not, most of the time.
Number 1 on both handsets requires a forceful push to work.

Other Thoughts: The call blocking feature works but it needs to see whos calling from the caller ID information and rings once or twice before its blocked.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Call Blocking

Pros: Lots of features. DECT 6.0

Cons: The only reason I bought this phone was because it advertised a "Call Block" feature, I thought it would keep a certain telemarketer from waking us up at 5am every morning. This feature is useless since the phone will still ring once or twice before it blocks the call. It doesn't mention this anywhere on the packaging, only in the manual on p.28. I tested this by blocking my cell number and then using my cell to call the house.

Other Thoughts: Note: this call blocking feature is listed on Panasonic phones model KX-TG9331, KX-TG9341, KX-TG9332, KX-TG9342, KX-TG9333, and KX-TG9343. It would seem these phones have the same problem since they all come with the same manual with the same info on p.28

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointmen

Pros: Small size, excellent battery life, good audio, headset jack

Cons: Very frequently there is one ring and the screen and phone completely black out, (dead).
Occurs with both of two handsets.
Panasonic at one time was the best of all cordless phones. Earlier models were built very robust. New stuff is like a cheap toy from China

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great call quality, range, and battery life

Cons: Some settings are difficult to access in the menu.

Other Thoughts: Saw someone below post that you can't turn off the caller ID on the base. I also thought this when I first purchased it, but then I downloaded the manual from panasonic, and found there is a way to turn it off. The talking caller ID setting you can see in the menu is for the handset only, the one for the base is hidden, you have to enter a code to see it.

first press [menu], then [#] now you can enter your code. press [*] then [1] then [6] then [2]. now you should be able to see the option to turn off the talking caller ID for the base

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed

Pros: Good sound, good general build quality, and nice ergonomics-- the handsets are small but are still large enough to comfortably cradle between the ear and shoulder. Lots of features and customizability.

Cons: Despite those nice pros, the phones have become almost unusable to me.

The following scenario plays out for roughly 1 in 3 calls I receive: 1) A call comes in. 2) Halfway through the first ring, the handset blacks out. 3) The handset turns back on and informs me that the basestation is disconnected (which it is not). 4) Once the call is disconnected, the handset returns to normal.

Both handsets display this behavior, but never at the same time. Like I said, this happens for roughly one third of my incoming calls, but it also happens frequently when I try to use the phones at other times (making calls, checking voicemail, caller ID).

Additionally, and possibly related, the handsets ring randomly in the middle of the night (and possibly at other times-- but I definitely notice it more at 3 A.M.). The basestation doesn't ring, and no caller ID is recorded, so this is clearly a handset issue.

I have replaced the batteries to see if that was the problem. Same results.

Other Thoughts: If it weren't for the bizarre behavior listed above, I would rate these phones as 5 eggs. But an unusable product frankly deserves zero eggs and is lucky to get one.

Another reviewer said to not pay attention to bad reviews. That's bad advice in general and particularly bad in this case, considering my experience with the product.

Note: If I can get some satisfaction out of Panasonic over this phone, I'll change my rating.

5 out of 5 eggsBest phone ever!

Pros: Best cordless phone I have ever owned! Doesn't interfere with Wi-fi.

Cons: Pretty pricey. Also, there's no way to turn off the talking caller ID on the base.

Other Thoughts: Don't listen to any negative reviews about this phone! This is my second cordless phone from Panasonic. My old one was great; a 2.4ghz cordless that lasted almost 6 years without issue. I wound up having to trash it due to the keypad starting to malfunction. The only issue I had with my old Panasonic was it conflicted with my Wifi router (whenever the phone rang, I would get booted offline), so when the phone died I decided to get a DECT 6.0 wifi-friendly cordless. When doing extensive research, I read mixed reviews that this model conflicted with your router. I wasn't sure if I would have the same issue, so I risked it and bought the phone.

All I can say is, pay no attention! I rely 100% on wifi internet, and have had NO disruptions while being online, unlike my old Panasonic cordless. The range and battery life are most excellent; I walked a half-block away without as much as distortion. I will always stick with Panasonic for my phones. I don't use the answering machine, but that

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: Excellent range, Excellent battery life, Crystal clear on both handset and speakerphone modes. I forgot I was on my home phone, as I usually always use my cell, and started walking down the street, realized I wasn't on my cell about a half a block away, so I kept going to see how far it would go, I was about 305 ft from my front door before it started to break up. Beats all the high end cordless phones I've ever had before.

Cons: None really. Didn't get to pick it out, it was a gift, wish it had speakerphone in the base unit too.

Other Thoughts: Great battery life. After the 1st charge, used speakerphone for about 45 min. then phone was on standby, off charger for about 24 hours and then used speakerphone for about 2 hours 50 min. before it indicated needing a 7 hour charge (also has a 3 bar battery life indicator). The batteries are 2 AAA NiMH rechargeables, in each handset. Shouldn't have trouble finding new ones down the road when these wear out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phones!

Pros: Great signal, great battery life, many good features. I love that I can block certain phone numbers, and the range of the phone seems to be somewhat greater than others I have had.

Cons: none so far!
