Panasonic is one of the premier names in consumer electronics, and has been for decades. Their 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 phone set, with base and four additional handsets, lets you move freely around your home with startlingly clear sound. The encoding technology provides greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls, and the 1.9GHz frequency range keeps you out of conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, and microwave ovens.

Program each handset to ring — or not — as you please. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the living room or elsewhere will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping. If necessary, leave the ringer off, and the light-up indicator at the base of the phone will alert you when a call comes in!

Expandable up to six handsets in addition to the base, this setup lets you have the chance of a phone within reach no matter where you go at home, and its power will let you hear clearly no matter where you go!

  • newegg DECT 6.0 Technology With cutting-edge DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology, the Panasonic KX-TG9344T operates in the 1.9GHz frequency range to eliminate interference caused by radio signals from mobile phones, Wi-Fi or other wireless devices, delivering enhanced voice clarity, roaming range and security when making phone calls.
  • newegg Four-handset System The Panasonic KX-TG9344T provides convenience of using four handsets (expandable to six) via a single landline connection and allows 4-way call conferencing and intercom between the handsets.

2 out of 5 eggsHad hope, was disappointed

Pros: Many handsets, base has speakerphone, talking caller ID

Cons: Base speakerphone is horrible, have to be sitting on top of it and I'm told it's choppy. Handset speakerphones are "OK" but many times I go to switch from using the phone to speakerphone and when I press speakerphone, the handset dies. DIES, DROPS THE CALL! None of the handsets work in certain parts of my house (bathrooms, certain bedrooms) - I've never had this happen before.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect?

Pros: Only 1 phone line connection needed. Perfect for homes that were design and/or wired by the mentally challenged. Boasts the "call block" feature that the other phones either don't support, or simply fail to advertise. Centralized address book means you add something once and all phones throughout the house will be able to view it. Did I mention only 1 phone connection needed? A handset can be placed anywhere and provide instant phone access. Garage, basement, toolshed, bathroom, attic, vomitorium, dungeon, etc.

Cons: A house full of handsets all ring loudly before caller ID information is received, and before it can process its "block call" feature. First ring should be silent, and then every ring after that should be heard. Every handset defaults to its annoying "spoken Caller ID" as well, requiring you to shut it off almost half a dozen times before it is really off. As someone else mentioned, the wonderful "wall-mount" parts are NOT included.

Other Thoughts: I understand that the Caller ID information is sent after the first ring, so why can't phones just remain silent until the information is received? Like, make the first ring silent, and then after the caller ID information comes in, THEN make noise. It would help with that whole "call block" feature. A big thing with "call block" is that I don't want to be bothered by the call at all. It's good that the phone hangs up on the person, but it's annoying that it still rings once.

3 out of 5 eggsWall Mount Bracket Not Included

Pros: Great phones that will outlast the life of the batteries, highly durable, lots of great features (including the voice caller ID).

Cons: Although the product says wall mountable, it does NOT include the bracket required to mount the unit on the wall. This is an additional $2-3 with shipping ($7-$8) another $10-12 total.

5 out of 5 eggsclear and long distance signal

Pros: I used a Panasonic set before so functionality was familiar. Great system, very clear voice on both ends.

Cons: Pricier than many.

3 out of 5 eggsNice Phone But 1 Handset Bad

Pros: Good features, good reception, like the intercom.

Cons: The microphone for 1 handset was bad so I had to return the entire set for replacement. Newegg was great on the return, but we lost a couple weeks.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: Easy to install and use. Great signal strength and crystal clear voice quality.

Cons: The handset is very light weight and sometimes when sitting in the charging cradle it can easily be knocked over.

5 out of 5 eggsNice phone

Pros: Fine phone, like the weight and feel of the handset, speakerphone is decent, shared phonebook is a great feature, so far battery life appears decent, intercom is very handy. Our current setup is Charter cable broadband connection, Vonage phone service, Motorola phone adapter, and this cordless phone - sound quality is great for us and for people we're talking to.

Cons: **Needs better documentation**. Haven't figured out how to add last dialed outgoing call to the phone book. Muting ringer requires going through menu to set remote volume to zero. Soft keys are black and inconspicuous, more than once I found myself pressing the shiny OFF key by mistake, to my chagrin.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Batteries!

Pros: Talking caller ID (after 3 or 4 rings), DECT 6.0 clarity, good lighted display, large numbered keys,

Cons: No Batteries included! Tried substituting with non-Panasonic NiMh AAA rechargeable batteries but receive a "Wrong Battery Type" error message. Be warned. You must use Panasonic Rechargeable AAA Batteries which none were included in my shipment. No speed dialing.
