5 out of 5 eggsLove these!

Pros: I've got the version of these handsets that include 5. This phone system is truly amazing. I tested it in the United States as well as out of the country when I traveled. I tested first in a 1500 square foot, 2 story home being able to talk all the way on the other side with absolutely no problems. While in the Caribbean, the phones were tested in a house built with solid concrete and yet the signal and call quality were still there and very clear.

You can replace the rechargeable batteries with your own, preferably with a higher mAH rating. They also work well with the M175C headset.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased with this phone

Pros: Uses AA rechargeable batteries
1.9 GHz so it doesn't interfere with the wireless router
Ringer can be turned off
Very well thought out feature set
Doesn't have an answering machine which I didn't want (there is a version that does if you do want it that way)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wish the back light would be configurable so that you could set it so that it would stay on when the phone was in the cradle. But that's really a nitpick. Another nitpick, I almost wish the handset was a little larger. Other than those two minor "wish list" items, there isn't anything about this phone that Panasonic didn't nail, IMHO. Sound quality is very good. Haven't tested the maximum range but it goes anywhere in my house and that's all I really need. Would I buy this phone again? Absolutely.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat House Phones

Pros: Call block. Clarity and works all the way out to my mail box out by the street, about 100 feet from base. Long life battery.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great phones.

2 out of 5 eggsProprietary DECT - Incompatible with other devices

Pros: Large back-lit LCD, large keys, uses standard AAA NiMH batts

Cons: Not compatible with other DECT 6.0 phones (i.e. not GAP compatible), so don't plan on using your existing phones with this base, or the other way around. Panasonic provides no documentation about this. In fact, the EU version of this phone advertises this compatibility, yet the US version cannot link up with anything but Panasonic devices. Given that the chipset used in this phone (DSP Group dcx79) is used in MANY other phones, this is a deliberate decision by Panasonic, and goes completely against the spirit of the DECT standard.

Other Thoughts: JTAG pads on the PCB, dcx79 chipset is supposed to be ARM-based. What are we waiting for?!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price, some frills lacking

Pros: For what is paid these are great little phones. Everything works as well as to be expected for the price, actually quite a bit better than other phones at this cost. Runs on easily replacable NI-MH AAA batteries.
Display is very easy to read, great for older people.

Cons: Minor issues are to be expected when buying a product at low cost this is no different but there isn't much to suffer. Actualy there are only a few issues. The first The plastic (although sturdy enough) feels a bit cheap. The second is th sound quality doesn't sound as full and rich with sound like other Panasonic phones, to be fair some panasonic phones I've heard sound worse. The sound quality is suffice just not as good as the higher end models. However it is clear without crackles and any other types of unwanted noise. Third, There is no Talking Caller ID. These aren't really cons cosidering the price point but these should be taken into consideration before buying. Lastly the battery door only has a small lip which is at the bottom of the battery cover a drop just right could easily break it to where the battery door will not close anymore.

Other Thoughts: These are great for the pricee and anyone that doesn't mind slightly below par sound or the fact there is no Talking Caller ID should be happy with them. These are not for people who abuse there phones and expect them to last.

3 out of 5 eggsElectronic tech.

Pros: Not more than any other phones.

Cons: After a month or so, started to make an interference noise, that was imposible to have a combersation.
As of today, i'll be sanding it back to Panasonic, the problem is that the company is located in Texas and i have to pay for shipping. Nice, isn't it?

3 out of 5 eggsCheap phone

Pros: Good range. Uses a standard battery which is a big plus.

Cons: I bought these to replace a great AT&T phone that died after many years. This phone has a much cheaper feel to it. The LCD is very low resolution and the sound quality is poorer although it's usable. The user interface is also poor, accessing the directory requires pressing two buttons, the AT&T phone only required one.

Other Thoughts: Reading my review you might wonder why I didn't just buy another AT&T phone, the answer is I did but the new one constantly dropped calls, they don't make them like they used to, this one holds the calls so in that respect I'm happier than with the first replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsPanasonic - Need I say more

Pros: I purchased this phone as a replacement for a uniden phone which only lasted a year. The main reason for choosing this phone was because they use rechargeable AAA batteries you can purchase anywhere batteries are sold, unlike other phones that require a special battery pack that after the phone is discontinued, it becomes increasingly more difficult to find.

Cons: None, other than I wish they had this phone model a year ago.

Other Thoughts: I had a Panasonic phone several years ago and it worked great until the battery pack needed to be replaced and it took a lot of searching to find the replacement. One of the several options this phone has is the call blocking option. This option alone will save you some money if you are paying $5 bucks a month for that option through your phone company. I have the Ooma Voip service and the call clarity is great. I did not need a phone with an answering machine since Ooma already has it. If you are looking for a great phone, this is the one to get.
