Additional Features

Additional Features
DECT 6.0 Plus Technology [Exclusive Feature]
Takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a new level. We've increased the frequency of error correction up to 80x, improving sound quality and extending transmission range.

Talking Caller ID
Hear who's calling from across the room. Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID announce caller ID information in between rings so you don't have to stop what you're doing to answer unwanted calls.

Designed for Ease of Use
Innovative, user-friendly features make keeping in touch easier than ever. A large LED light atop the handset lets you know when someone calls, perfect for when you can't hear the ringer, and an easy-to-read, extra-wide LCD display lets you see who's calling at a glance. Bigger buttons make dialing a breeze while an amplified handset volume ensures you catch every word, even when there's background noise.

Intelligent Eco Mode
This feature automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, battery life is prolonged which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.

Tone Equalizer
Everyone hears differently. To maximize clarity or accommodate hearing loss, Panasonic added Tone Equalizer control to select models. This exclusive feature actually lets you adjust bass, mid-range or treble tones in a caller's voice for maximum clarity.

Call Block
Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls from them. After their information is stored, they'll get a busy signal if they call you again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phones

Pros: Newer Technology. Has sleep/standy mode to conserve battery life. Does not drop connection to base unit like older models.

Cons: I myself don't really have any cons. Although, as with most new gadgets these days, learning the menu system takes time and diligence.

Other Thoughts: I can't say one would go wrong choosing these phones.
Maybe other brands will have other/different features,
however, these could be the best out there currently.

3 out of 5 eggsgreat set

Pros: Loud speaker phone, buttons are large enough to see and press without fat-fingering them, great quality construction, screen is good,

Cons: vocal caller id is not good and hard to understand, dont like the light bar on the top of the phone, head speaker part of the phone is not loud enough to hear clearly for the hard of hearing,

Other Thoughts: overall its a great phone set, but needs revising a little more to be perfect. i bought these for my grandparents and the one real selling point was the volume of the speaker phone. but the other features need attention.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this phone

Pros: 5 handsets, Caller ID voice announce, Bluetooth to connect to cell phones, very configurable on call handling and transfer to/from a cell phone. Lithium Ion battery life is great.

Cons: I wish the handsets had a more snug fit in their bases. They are easy to knock out. Not worth taking an egg away though. Display is a bit boring, I miss the configurable backgrounds my previous Panasonic had.

Other Thoughts: Well worth it, especially if you need a lot of handsets.

3 out of 5 eggsNice phones, with one caveat

Pros: - Solid build for phones
- Bright displays
- Excellent call quality
- Good range from base

Cons: - Can’t use answering machine with cell connect (See other thoughts)
- Have to use activation codes to register setting changes – very clumsy
- Occasional error stating "You must use rechargable batteries" on random sets. (Of course, I am using supplied batteries)

Other Thoughts: I bought these phones because they were on sale and I needed a set that could support cell phone connections. My home phone is a cell service, so it made sense to use this feature to set up these phones and enhance my calling capability. One thing that was not pointed out on the web site, or very readily on the Panasonic site, is that the answering machine ONLY works for landlines. So, all the answering machine services are worthless for what I wanted to use this phone system for. Unfortunately, this is not a defect, so I would have been smacked with a restocking charge to send the units back.

I still set up the cell connect on the Panasonic unit and had the cell connect via UMA to my Wi-Fi router. Calling was sub-par – there were responsiveness issues while connecting and answering and call quality was choppy - but I could attribute that to the blue-tooth or Wi-Fi connection of the cell phone, not necessarily the Panasonic units.

Overall, this is an exceptional set of phones for landlines, but mediocre for a solution for cell connect.

5 out of 5 eggsBest phone I ever ordered

Pros: Syncs with iphone 3GS, handset lasts off charger up to 5 days, perfectly clear, large buttons easy to see, listen for caller ID instead of racing for phone, light on handset shows messages waiting w/o going to base station. Can call from base station. This thing has made my life so easy and I'm so pleased with it. Nice to carry on long conversations, even on speaker function, without dead batteries while waiting on hold or talking over an hour. Mad my life so much easier, which is what tech is supposed to be about

Cons: Not the most intuitive system for a non-tech type to set up, tho' works great once I worked it out. Save that manual! Still haven't gotten it to work w/ ATT's horrific on-line voicemail, so I go to my computer to access.

Other Thoughts: I wish I'd replaced my cruddy ATT wireless phone ages ago. This holds a charge like nobody's business and I can even wander around outside the building while talking clearly. Saves SO much time and fumbling to answer my cell phone using the handsets and it syncs easily.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Choice

Pros: Had the phones for a few weeks now and no big complaints. Great for the people who want to still have a home phone without carrying around their cell phone from room to room. Just throw the phone near the base unit and all the voice options get routed through the hand sets. Plus you can dial out on your cell phone from the hand sets.

Voice on it works good though. Even lets you use a Bluetooth headset if you need to.

I am happy with the phones though. Works with a land line and you can hook your cell phone up to essentially turn it into a land line. Makes it easy as can be to get rid of that pesky land line in the future.

Cons: Only problem is that all the voice is handled through the base unit once the cell phones are linked. So it is weird getting used to having to do texting through the phone while anything voice has to go through the Panasonic phones. Other then that it works great.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: large buttons, clear and loud speaker phone, easily readable LCD display, crisp and clear calls, lots of useful features, love the caller id block, easily manageable ergonomic size.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: this is a great investment for those who are hard at hearing and have poor vision. would recommend to anyone who has these issues, especially for the elderly.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing phone system

Pros: Panasonic quality (best home phone systems bar none)
Voice Mail notification and call feature works with Comcast VM (unexpected bonus)
Phone speaks incoming callers name from phone book or caller ID (very cool feature)

Cons: 2-3 second lag on picking up incoming cell phone calls. Import of phone book doesn't label multiple numbers home/work/cell etc...

Other Thoughts: I had an old Panasonic Dect 6.0 system that was aging and lost a couple handsets. Was blown away with this new phone which was a big upgrade. The combination of features, such as the voice mail notification which works with Comcast was a big bonus for me. Volume level and quality are outstanding (of course, Panasonic makes the best home phone systems). Lighted Keypad was another new feature. Panasonic has done an excellent job incorporating new features into their phone I am very impressed, blown away with this new phone system. Has a feature to say the incoming callers name, also there is a virtual mute button when using the phone so no worries about the missing mute button. Amazing purchase, very pleased.
