Pros: pretty much plug and play, no need to register the phones. Good sound (for a phone) and nice large characters on display.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I am not using the answering system function so I can't comment on that.

4 out of 5 eggsMessage Erasure

Pros: Just a note on a prior post concerning erasing messages. I own an earlier version of these DEC 6 phones, and individual messages can be deleted, contrary to what a previous post implies. Pressing the erase button while listening to a message will erase the message being listened to. A prompt is given instructing that pressing the erase button a second time will erase ALL messages. One can scroll through all messages deleting and saving (not deleting as one choses). This information is included in the users manual and is available online in a PDF format.

Cons: 100 number of contacts seems a bit low in these times..

Pros: The phone works very well. The reception is clear, even with the speaker although the handset is not as clear (but almost) as a corded phone. Range is suburb however. The handset units work under ECO in part of the house and the units sense the base unit from outside. The batteries last for days, even after the handset is used and left off the charger. The answering machine is easy to use from the handset but you can only erase all messages NOT only the last one listened. That is why I rated the TGD224N at 4.5 stars.

Cons: As mentioned you can only erase ALL messages, NOT the new message you just listened to. My old corded Panasonic allowed you to erase the last message you just listened too at the end of the message (before the next message started). This model will only erase all messages or none so you cannot save isolated messages..
