4 out of 5 eggsReasonably Good

Pros: Bought this for the bluetooth and number of handsets, plus price. The lighter color vs. the standard black, works better for our house. Fairly easy set up. Enables me to leave my cell phone in the kitchen, while being able to answer calls anywhere in the house. Quality of calls can depend upon how far away my cell phone is from the base, but overall, pretty good. Still have landline and ability to be on call from cell phone and still have landline calls come in is great.

Cons: Lost some set up options of our previous phone set, but nothing we can't live without.

5 out of 5 eggsphones

Pros: Work great. Bluetooth connectivity to your cellphone for shared ringing and msg alerts. Answering machine is nice and easy to use.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I bought these on sale and they were a nice upgrade to my old 4 unit Panasonic set that no longer charged the batteries. We still use landlines for security service and we give companies the land # so our cells are not publicized.

4 out of 5 eggsKX-TGE274S Link2Cell Bluetooth Cellular

Pros: hand sets linked up to my old system with no problem

Cons: speaker volume is good . but, volume with out speaker, when phone is just held to ear, is very low. yes I'm old and listened to way too much loud music and of course drag pipes on my harley

Other Thoughts: Third set of Panasonic phones. They have all performed well and my other phones have good volume when held to ear

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost too many features

Pros: Has a great array of features. Looks nice. The sound quality is great and if you have a landline plus two cell phones the handsets could make different calls all at the same time. How cool is that?

Cons: Wish the ringers had more more tones to choose from. The menu plus # code is annoying. They feel cheaper then in the past.

Other Thoughts: I've been buying Panasonic phones for over 10 years. My first Panny cordless phone took a licking and kept on ticking. But they were clearly sturdier phones in those days. The displays were bright and colorful. Today they have a cheap plastic feel. I am concerned that if I drop a handset once, the thing will break into pieces. Otherwise -- could not be happier.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Value & Performance!

Pros: Great Range
Great Fidelity/Quality
Great Price/Value
Great Base Station
Successor to the Famous KX-TG7644M
Syncs to iPhone4S
Soooo many Features....

Cons: Soooo many Features... Probably not very suitable for old people.
Would have liked a choice of Black.
Picky when it came to syncing contacts from cell phones.

Other Thoughts: Researched for al long time to replace my 2.4 ghz Siemens Gigaset 4000/4020 setup from 2002, which was an absolute tank, but was suffering from degraded quality given the technology.

Initially wanted another Gigaset system, like the E640, but since Siemens is a German Company, their DECT tech is very different than the DECT 6.0 freq adopted in North America, and so they only offer a limited line of systems here, and I have heard with reduced functionality...

So, what to choose instead, and I came across numerous reviews for the Panasonic KX-TG7644M, which is a discontinued 4 year old system, replaced by this 2014 system, with a few upgrades.

Since this setup received some glowing reviews, I figured the low price justified further investigation with little risk.

I can tell you Newegg had the cheapest price by far, even with shipping, and its a company that is reliable over the internet... So I pulled the trigger... my main reason being sound quality and range.... and I can tell you that I am very very pleased with my purchase.

I have even ordered another set today for my parents out in the country who have been plagued by poor cordless performance for a long time.

The Range is great, even through walls and appliances. It isn't affected by my wifi setup or my microwave. It synced flawlessly with 2 iPhone4S's and now it chimes when I receive a text, and my cell calls ring through to this system when you are home! (features that can be ignored if you so choose, but I have found them surprisingly convenient even though I didn't buy this system for that purpose)...

I will say this, the Manual is simple to read and understand, but sometimes oversimplifies s process, forcing you to go online to see how someone else did it...

For instance, my iPhone's paired easily, but kept disconnecting exactly when I requested a contact sync, and then reconnected when the request timed out...

Turns out I needed to pair the phone and then ask for a contact sync immediately after while still viewing the Bluetooth setup screen on my iphone.... picky, but only mildly inconvenient, and only required to do once... iPhones work flawlessly now... much more likable than I first thought...

Voice call announcing.. though my wife finds the female Panasonic voice annoying, and its not as nice as say a GPS voice... but serviceable, and you can turn it off if you like...

I can go on an on about how well this system has performed, but I won't. For this price, you cannot go wrong.

(NOTE: NOT tested with any mobile devices other than iPhone4S)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat phone system

Pros: Ease of use, cell phone link, price

Cons: Only one I have found so far is the hearing volume could go up just a little

Other Thoughts: I researched different phones to replace the ones that I had. This type system works great. One master and this one came with three slaves (that is just what they are called). It allows for you to have many choices as to where you put the other (slaves) phones. The intercom works very well. I like the ability to link my cell phone (up to 2 cell numbers) to the house phone. So instead of having to carry 2 phones around, I now just carry the house phone. Also if you are on one line, you can put that one on hold and use the other line to make another call. The phones look good and have a lot of options (read thru the owners manual). Mine was about $ 104 delivered. I just do not see any problems with this unit. Oh yes, the speaker phone seems to work well ( me hearing them and them hearing me clearly). The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the hearing volume could be just a tad better (not a big problem now, but could be a little better). Numbers and such are easy to read and see. You can't go wrong with this one. Money well spent.

4 out of 5 eggsI Like It

Pros: Each phone uses 2 AAA rechargeable batteries (cheap to replace) Each phone has its own ID, Large info screen, Easy to use, good sound (using handset & hands free) Being able to link to cellphone, looks good. Has a intercom. Great price. You can also activate the cell phone locate function (1 cell phone) if you misplace your cell phone. Will link 2 cell phones to this unit (cell 1 cell 2 ). The display shows date and time while in standby mode. Voice caller ID and displays the number calling.

Cons: Have not seen any yet

Other Thoughts: I researched cordless phones to replace my existing phones. The great thing about this type of system is that only the base has to plug into a phone jack. The other units (called slaves) can be put anywhere you have access to a electrical outlet. For what you get and the price, Newegg had the best deal. Shipping was fast and the product was well packaged. So far, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it if you are looking to buy this type of product. I only gave it 4 stars because of the length of time I have had it. I rarely give anything 5 stars (because that's for something that is near perfect).
