DECT 6.0 digital technology Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) 6.0 is a new frequency band that transmits your voice across multiple channels. This technology provides superior quality of voice and sound, high protection against wiretapping, and better range than 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz phone systems, all while not interfering with wireless routers.

They told me this Cordless Phone was a 2010 Model, and that it, most likely, needed to be reset. Over the phone the Tech walked me through the "Reset" process. Reconnected the phone, let it charge 48 hours, it works "perfect"! Love this phone, set it's own time and date, answering machine works great also and the phone looks pretty nice compared to my old GE 900MHz. I'm going to cancel the RMA and free UPS Return tomorrow. Newegg's Customer Service is still Number 1!! Cons: It's a 2010, but AT&T gave me an extra Year Warranty,4 years altogether, and is sending me an extra Handset Battery for free. No Battery in Base. Don't use Handset Speaker, drains the battery faster than it should, approx. 30 Minutes. Other Thoughts: I've always been happy with AT&T Cordless Phones, Tough, Durable, especially when kids were living at home. GE seems to be dropping th Ball on their Cordless Phones? Most everything worked, except the Battery. Cons: Charged for 50 hours, battery died after 30 minutes of talking. I'm charging the Battery again to see if it's faulty. If it is, Newegg's buying me a new Battery, or giving me a $10 Credit. The replacement Battery for the ATTEL52100 is $6.95 plus $2.00 shipping. If Newegg won't work with me, I'll be getting an RMA with a free return lable. Other Thoughts: I realize Cordless phones are becoming a thing of the past, but I'm not wasting money on a "smart phone" that I don't need or want.
