Guitar Hero World Tour Game Only Wii
- Pros: So far so good, this is a gift for someone. Recieved fast!Great Deal!
- Cons: The game disc was loose in the case, so hopefully no scratches are on it.
Enjoyed playing the guitar. . .
- Pros: Great game, family members took turns in playing instruments and vocal.
- Cons: Would be great if compatible with rockband drums and wireless guitar.
- Other Thoughts: Thanks newegg for timely delivery.
A decent entry in the Guitar Hero Series.
- Pros: This is Neversoft's first foray into the full-band (Guitar, Bass, as well as Drums and Vocals) experience. All things considered, the core core gameplay is quite enjoyable. More specifically,
-The notecharts in the game are much fairer than they were in Guitar Hero III; although there certainly are plenty of hard songs to keep you challenged, there aren't any songs that are so difficult they create a brick wall.
-The game's good songs are great. You'll get some old classics that should have been in the series ages ago. Plus, all songs in the game are master tracks.
-Character creation and being able to customize your guitar is a major plus.
-In spite of the Wii being a technically weaker system than the PS3 or 360, its version of World Tour is essentially the same (aside from less realistic graphics, which you won't be paying much attention to, anyway; you're going to be too busy looking at the notes)
- Cons: -The much-hyped music creation feature is difficult to use. Even if you manage to create a song, it sounds terrible...think the relative sound quality of a MIDI file.
-As this game has a handful of very, very good songs, it also has a handful of absolutely terrible songs.
-There have been many reliability issues with the World Tour drums.
-The game's engine for measuring vocals is terrible.
-Although you can download songs as you can in the 360 and PS3 versions, the Wii's lack of a hard drive makes this much harder to enjoy. Although you can still download songs onto SD cards, the Wii only officially supports ones with a capacity of 4 GB or less.
- Other Thoughts: The "tapping" touchpad on the new guitar controller doesn't work well. If you already have a Guitar Hero III controller, I'd just hang onto that and use it. Although the new controller has a slightly better design, it doesn't warrant dishing out 90 bucks for a new bundle.

Introduction
Guitar Hero World Tour invites you to put down your guitar – and pick up a pair of drum sticks or a microphone and rock out! World Tour adds the use of percussion and vocals to the rhythmic play.
Gameplay remains true to the original with improved mechanics resulting from the expanded capabilities. A new, "Beginner" difficulty setting lets newcomers get into the game and "Easy Rhythm" allows younger members of the family to join in. Play with local or online players and climb your way to the top with Band Career mode. Take your game online and compete against other players in battle of the band competitions.
All of the songs will be derived from master tracks with bands ranging from the Eagles and Billy Idol to Sublime and Linkin Park. No more strict set lists. Instead, play gigs through your "career" and choose which songs you want to master first. World Tour takes things to the next level by allowing you to create new songs – complete with lead, bass and rhythm guitar and drums – and upload and share your tunes.
