- Pros: Very entertaining surgery game. I believe the story to be entertaining and well layed out...and paced well through the game. If you have played any of the Trauma Center games before...you will love this. The animated slides are not at all "poorly drawn"...they have a distinct feel and look to them that's unique to the Trauma Center series. The game is definitely challenging. The controls are dead on and respond well. Voice-over acting better than Trauma Center: Second Opinion.
- Cons: Not really a con...but playes that have not played any of the other games in the series might have trouble with the difficulty. The story has a few slow parts and rough spots...nothing major though.
- Other Thoughts: I've followed the Trauma Center series since Trauma Center: Under The Knife came out in 2005 for the Nintendo DS. Then Trauma Center: Second Opinion on the Wii and enjoyed it very much. If you also have a Nintendo DS...or your kids...do yourself a favor and buy Trauma Center: Under The Knife 1 & 2...you will enjoy them. I find the DS versions to be a little better because you can be very precise with the stylus.
Easily One of the Best Wii Games
- Pros: This game is extremely fun on multiplayer. It's both challenging and rewarding. The single-player experience is just as challenging and rewarding. All the operations are fun. There is plenty of length to keep you busy for a while, especially on the hard difficulty. Voice acting is alright.
- Cons: The animated slides are dull. The story is not terribly entertaining.
- Other Thoughts: People complain about its difficulty. "Impossible" to complete in single player. The difficulty is a pro... not a con. Any easier, and I would have complaints.
plot in-between surgury ruins the game...
- Pros: Virtual Surgery is kinda fun, you somewhat learn about real-life medical procedures and tools used in surgery, very unique gameplay.
- Cons: In between surgeries are poorly done cartoon drawings (not animations) that slide in from the side of the screen and display text on the screen with a voice sound clip. They tell a boring story between the main characters/doctors... granted surgery after surgery may have gotten too boring, but I just found myself franticly clicking through the story line in excruciating pain... Everytime you mess up the surgery you get the same cut-screen, with same end of the story text/voice clip
- Other Thoughts: Overall Surgery's are fun and interesting, definitely a game to rent, but not buy

This sequel to the Wii surgeon sim follows both Dr. Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock, two Alaskan surgeons with the Healing Touch who are recruited into the Concordia Medical Institute after their local facilities closes down. Once there, they learn that the doctors on staff are regularly more concerned with maintaining their excessive lifestyles than they are with the patients they tend to. Markus and Valerie are eventually taken into a government organization known as Caduceus, where they begin to learn about a vast conspiracy. The game comes complete with a fully functioning two-player cooperative mode in which gamers will have full control over each character, both operating with all their tools at the same time. The characters are brought to life with full voice work, there is an online score ranking system, and the game offers 480p and 16:9 widescreen modes. |
