Considered one of the great RPGs series in Japan RPG history, the original Devil Survivor presented gamers with a novel premise: Tokyo is in full lockdown, the government's swift, coldblooded response to a surprise demon invasion. While you and your friends must solve the nature of the interdimensional rift through which the horrific creatures are entering your world, saving the world is not your highest priority; staying alive, on the other hand, is.
Expanded and enhanced, Devil Survivor Overclocked for Nintendo 3DS builds upon the game's original release with the addition of voice acting for the entirety of the game's lengthy, unconventional narrative. Moreover, that very story, already boasting multiple endings based on critical decisions by the player, now concludes with a special eighth chapter, a rousing epilogue for Shin Megami Tensei fans. The game's beautifully remastered hand drawn artwork and character portraits benefit from the new system's higher resolution screens, offering players a crisper, higher fidelity experience.
Enhanced and Remastered Overclocked's story, initially hailed for its originality, is now fully remastered, bringing the narrative to life like never before.
And on the Eighth Day For Shin Megami Tensei fans this offers them their only chance to experience a finale to the game's chilling tale of Tokyo overrun and in chaos at the hands of invading demons from another dimension.
Acclaimed RPG/SRPG hybrid Overclocked's combat design borrows from traditions of both RPG and strategy RPG genres, making for an entirely unique play experience and garnering acclaim from press and fans alike upon its initial release.

Pros: solid strat-rpg with a particularly wacky and inspired story added epilogue that continues the story following the original game's ending added 'easy' difficulty for newbs added voice overs (that you can turn off) has a few extra demons in the compendium over the original
Cons: the voice overs aren't the greatest & one is nails on a chalkboard bad (Midori, but I think that was intentional) difficulty can be unforgiving if you don't know what you're doing the epilogue is somewhat annoying since its not balanced properly. Its cakewalk easy until you reach an overpowered boss that requires grinding money to spend on mixing demons until you've removed any and all weaknesses.
Other Thoughts: one of the few worthwhile games for the 3ds early on (even if I did already own the DS version)
evil/chaos wave + double up is an OP combo
