Shred The Streets, Not Your Face...
- Pros: graphics are amazing for a wii game, load screens are surprisingly quick considering the vast skate-able landscape that appears on each level, fast shipping as always by NewEgg and UPs, controls are surprisingly fun and somewhat innovative for a wii skate game; They blow Tony Hawk away in that area. I am a huge thps fan, the whole series for playstation was amazing, but did not carry over well to the wii, especially the control system. But Skate It did not make that same mistake, the move are fun and creative, not spastic and overly complicated like THPS. It makes things fun, even when skating around in free skate mode just seeing what crazy tricks you can pull off, crazy but real tricks; not 2060 degree spins with 87 trick combos like some other games. You can sit in the comfort of your own home and pull off an insane trick that would make Charles Manson question your sanity without risking your own body in the process.
- Cons: it lacks the star power of Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but since you're using your own character most of the time you soon forget how much you liked skating as Rowley, Muska, Hawk, Margerra, and other extreme sports heroes.
- Other Thoughts: All Around surprising; game-play, graphics, controls, realistic (as far as video games go), and its fun...

Skate It unleashes the FlickIt revolution on to the Nintendo platforms, letting gamers use the Wii remote or the Nintendo DS stylus to string together their best tricks for the ultimate skate line. The Wii remote becomes a skateboard and reacts to gestures that mirror actual skate flips and moves. Players can also deepen this experience by planting their feet on the Wii Balance board. Skate It brings the hit Skate franchise to a new level of creative ingenuity and gameplay excellence. |
