I am your father
- Pros: Very fun game! Perfect game for fans and non-fans of Star Wars. Highly recommend the Wii version for the ability to control your saber and force powers with your hands. Graphics are better than I expected
- Cons: Some little bugs here and there. A little short
Dark Jedi game with motion control!
- Pros: Great for any Star Wars fan. You get to play a Dark Jedi (with force grip, lightening, and all those delightfully dark powers, LOL!) and sort of feel like you are actually wielding a lightsaber! What more can you ask for?! Any Jedi game like this is a natural match for the Wii's motion control.
- Cons: I suppose the graphics aren't what they might be if this was offered on PC (won't buy a high-end console as long as I can still game on my PC.) The motion control, while not perfect, still more than makes up for this. Also, the camera angle isn't always quite what you may need at the time.
- Other Thoughts: I haven't played this quite as much as I would like. I bought it with my Wii, and I've mostly played Wii Sports and MarioKart all month. I think I'm around half-way through, but for being easy it's still a lot of fun, which is exactly what I bought my Wii for!
Just Like Being A Jedi
- Pros: This game is awesome thanks to the motion control capability of the Wii. Your light saber and force powers are motion controlled so you almost feel like a Jedi as you're force pushing enemies off a cliff. There are a lot of force powers that take time to master their various motion controls. Its even decent exercise if you get off the couch and play the game standing up. Your swinging motion actually makes a difference... you can do OK just swinging randomly but you can create some brutal combos if you do things right.
- Cons: Extremely short. It took about 8 hours of total game time to beat. There's almost no penalty for dying which makes things very easy. Very linear story/world. There's no side quests or exploration... just keep moving forward and killing everything in your way.
- Other Thoughts: I've played this on the XBOX and its just a boring, repetitive dungeon crawl. But the motion control on the Wii makes it an entirely different game with a very fun feel to it. Most Star Wars fans wish they could be a Jedi and this game is as close as you can get. Like I said, get off the couch play like a man! That's what Yoda would do!

This entry in the Star Wars saga casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice", unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi – and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny. The Wii version also adds an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master. |
