3 out of 5 eggsFinally, a adult Wii game that doesn't blow

Pros: - Super stylish
- Great graphics as comapred to any of the current gen console games, not just compared to the Wii
- Finally, an adult game for the Wii. SUPER SUPER bloodly. Lots of gore!!!
- One of the best 3rd party games available on the Wii.

Cons: - can get a bit repetitive
- controls can be a bit innacurate at times

Other Thoughts: It's a shame this title tanked on the Wii. There are just SO MANY terrible games on the Wii that ANY game that isn't published directly by Nintendo, or doesn't end in a "Z" (Petz, Horsez, Catz) doesn't stand a chance. It's really shame. Sega made a great game here, but nobody knows about it!!!

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Game

Pros: Um... none.

Cons: I feel as though I wasted $10. Didn't enjoy the game, the graphics, or the violence.

5 out of 5 eggsReally good game

Pros: I like this game. Fun to play, plenty of little surprises to keep it interesting. Especially like the thought that obviously went into the artistic design.

Cons: Fight mechanics and the speed of play sometimes left me confused as to exactly how I had won (or lost) a battle. Sometimes I was just swinging stuff around and for some reason things worked or didn't.

Other Thoughts: Try and find a better Wii game for $12. Go on, I dare you. It's probably only a 4 star game, but it's a 4 star game you can buy without taking out a loan...unlike every other decent ($50) Wii game.

3 out of 5 eggsMad World It's so-so

Pros: Loads of mature content and game play.

Cons: Multi-player is lame.

Other Thoughts: Eh, got it for cheap and I guess it was worth the price... IDK, guess I got it just to get it. ;-/

5 out of 5 eggsGreat game.

Pros: MadWorld is great fun. The beat-em-up mechanics are enjoyable, the bosses are larger than life and fun to fight, the hip hop music sounds off-putting in theory, but in practice, for some strange reason, it just WORKS. The violence is very comic book-like; gallons of blood but no real gore like internal organs or anything. Great black and white style. Lots of stuff in the environment can be a weapon. The motion controls make finishing moves very rewarding and visceral to pull off, especially slamming enemies into a spiked wall, running a signpost through their faces, or wrenching their heads off.

Some people complain that the combat gets stale or repetitive, but it's only as repetitive as you are. You choose how much you mix it up when you fight, so it's your own fault if you find yourself just hammering one button.

Cons: The lock-on targeting is mostly broken, but you never need it except for one or two boss fights. Camera can be a little fidgety. The game is short, true, but it is replayable at least once for the new unlocked weapons. Sometimes you expect to be able to use something in the environment as a weapon and disappointingly can't, but luckily this isn't often. The announcers, sound effects, and music all playing at once can sometimes really override or bleed into each other and cause serious audio confusion; luckily, there are audio options and you can change the volume of each of those things individually, so if the announcers are talking over the music or something, you can just mute them, or if the sound effects are too loud, just tune them down a bit, etc.

Other Thoughts: I'm an all-around type of gamer. I define myself as hardcore not because I play adult games, but because I play and enjoy ALL games that are good. I love Animal Crossing, Team Fortress 2, No More Heroes, Splinter Cell, RTS games, Diablo, point and click adventures, etc.

If the game is simply a good time, I'll play it. MadWorld is exactly that, a good time. Lots of laughs, lots of gratuitous violence. It's low-brow at times, but sometimes that's not a bad thing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, great game!

Pros: This game is one of the few great actions games on the Wii. While waiting for the next No More Heros game, I picked this up.

The gore is imaginative and hilarious. I've played this with people laughing and they've turned into a studio audience (laughing at all the craziness). Its definatly worth a buy.

Cons: The game does take a bit of time to get into, and sometimes killing the enemies is a bit of a chore.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game, Great Price!

Pros: Possible that this game may be the MOST violent game for the Nintendo Wii...which is worth celebrating. I feel the console is overplayed as a child's toy when the wii remotes have so much potential for awesomeness.

The in game play took a little time to adjust to:
-Walk with nunchuck, jump with nunchuck(button)
-Swish controls L/R and U/D for different punches
-Uses d-pad to grab items, switch weapons
-Hold A or B + swish controls to attack

Took time to get use to, but makes for awesome attack combos once you get going!

Also the graphic style is strictly Black&white comic with red blood. This is great and unique at the same time. Loved the different approach for the game. Made it worth playing alone!

Environments are extremely interactive! Elements around the character are destroyable, throw-able, and can be used as weapons(sometimes reused again and again)!

Cons: This is not a game for those under 17/18 years old. Its pretty much a death match made to kill each other in anyway possible. Language is also not for the faint of heart. (I found this as a positive, but its also a con considering many games are targeted at kids/family play).

Other Thoughts: For the price, for a brand new game, its well worth the money! Buy, play, invite friends over and play it again!

Packaging is retail, new (full cases, cover, booklets, shrink wrapped).

5 out of 5 eggsNinja Hate Pirates

Pros: + Style / Sin City meets No More Heroes.
+ Voice-acting / It's hard to believe this was made in Japan.
+Commentators / Greg Proops and Jon Dimaggio(Bender from Futurama) make this game worth every penny.
+ Hilarious / No game is as consistently hilarious as this one. For example, in the "Asian Town" stage, you can throw a Pirate Hat that the ninja will immediately run after and attack, distracting them long enough for you to get the upper hand, 'cause we know: Ninja Hate Pirates.
+Soundtrack / I don't like rap, but it works perfectly here. I catch myself singing some of the songs when I'm just wandering around the house.
+ Controls / Most motion controls are great when they have specific motions (see Cons)
+Bosses / Big, bad, and brutal.

Cons: - Short / Only a few hours long, but highly replayable to me.
- Control / Too many instances of "shake like crazy!"
- Lock-on / doesn't work well, but really is unnecessary.
- Some dialogue repeats often, but it's still funny every time.

Other Thoughts: MADWORLD is not for everybody (especially kids and religious types). That being said, it's my personal Game Of The Year, due mostly to it's amazing style and that fact that it's the most legitimately funny game I've ever played. The commentators are laugh-out-loud funny, crude and pun-filled. The level of gore and violence is also a major stand-out here, but it's not the kind based in reality. I personally hate realistically violent games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto, but MADWORLD takes a totally different, humorous approach. You aren't killing cops or soldiers with real life weapons... you have a chainsaw mounted on your arm to take out zombies, robots, a giant Frankenstein monster, loads of ninja, and werewolves. And when you aren't cutting these in half, you are running over gray space aliens on your motorcycle. If you aren't put off by over-the-top comedy-gore and as long as you don't mind adult oriented humor and foul-language, then you can't get much better.

5 out of 5 eggsWii Hardcore Done Right

Pros: Very, very gory. The kills are fantastic. Graphically it is really impressive for a Wii game. Controls are done very well. Boss fights are pretty fun, and not so difficult that my TV will eat a Wii-mote. It makes for a very fun hardcore experience on the Wii.

Cons: The camera can be kind of a pain but, no more than it has been in other 3rd person games (like Tomb Raider or Force Unleashed). It is not the hardest game ever released either.

Other Thoughts: There isn't much story here but, I didn't get it for that. I got it for the gore and it lives up to that and then some.

4 out of 5 eggsmadworld

Pros: the game is pretty fun to play. not something you can say about many wii games. gore, graphics, gameplay all awsome

Cons: ive only played through the first level. my only complaint is the camera. the tutorial claims that you can lock on to a target by holding the C button. after fighting the boss at the end of the level i found that the lock on function didnt quite work. not a big deal

Other Thoughts: the game draws inspiration from hellboy (the main character) and GoW not a bad combination if you ask me. the cool thing about this game is the violence. to pass a level you need to rack up points by killing enemies. the more creative you are the more points you get. say for instance if you pick up a tire and throw it over your oppenent, pick up a street sign and impale the guy by tossing it through his head and then finally dragging him over to a wall with spikes and continuosly thrash em into it will get you maximum points. other kill moves such as the head snap where you are gestured to move the wiimote and nunchuck in opppsite directions will snap a dudes head off and a fountain of blood will spill out. other cool moves like picking a guy up and tossing him down on a vertical standing spike will impale the baddie up the ol brown hole and out his mouth. pretty sadistic. if you find that type of gameplay amusing (i did) then its a must have. o and dont worry about the controls either
