5 out of 5 eggsHmm...

Pros: Fantastic gameplay, graphics and storyline. Definitely makes everything make more sense as it ties all of the characters we know and love together as part of a greater struggle.

Cons: Convoluted storyline that will make no sense to those who haven't played the other games. The spirits are also far too complicated, in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Truly an awesome game... I would recommend to any fan of the KH series. A lot of fun, especially with the new flowmotion feature. But if you're new to the franchise, prepare to do a lot of reading to learn the back story.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing, so different, but so good

Pros: Probably one of the best Kingdom Hearts games ever made. It took me a bit of getting used to since I was expecting quite a lot after the amazing Birth by Sleep. But man, did the story deliver and did the gameplay ever deliver. The nice pacing between doing the game itself and the minigames with the dream eaters was perfect.

Cons: Framerate is not the greatest.

3 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Great Graphics
3D Looks Awesome
Great Story
Fun Gameplay
New Disney Worlds

Cons: Terrible Camera
Small Screen
Monotonous Character Development
Missing some great attacks

Other Thoughts: I've played and enjoyed every Kingdom Hearts available, including the derided Re:Coded. I would call Dream Drop Distance a combination of Birth By Sleep and Coded. It's almost console quality like BBS was but looking back I enjoyed it about the same as Coded. I didn't find the combat, worlds, character development, etc as interesting as any of the other titles, including Chain of Memories or even 358/2 days. Those had some very deep and interesting development/combat systems that brought be back for more. 3D had the same system we've already seen twice before in BBS and Coded with a new development system where your Dream Eater Spirit friends grant you knew abilities but only as long as they are equipped. If you create a new spirit with new abilities, if you replace and old one you lose all the abilities attached to that previous spirit. So leveling up isn't very fun in the first place than you can lose all that progress once you've maxed out a character and want to switch.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The worlds in this game are expansive, some extremely nostalgic, and paired with their own beautiful soundtrack. There is so much attention to small details as well - even though they are not needed (such as the graphics and fonts in the menu), they are much appreciated. Gameplay is fluid and Flowmotion isn't as overpowered as people claim it to be, as you can't use it everywhere and there are times when you're interrupted by another attack in which your other specials come handy. The side games with the Spirit pets are lovely when you need a break from playing the story.

Cons: More save slots?

Other Thoughts: This is my first-ish Kingdom Hearts game and even though the overall story is a complicated one, I don't have much trouble understanding most of it. Especially with the mementos, flashbacks, and records provided, they have really made sure that a KH newbie would not be left in the dust.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Handheld Kingdom Hearts to date

Pros: The flowmotion system works beautifully, the combat is extremely fun and entertaining, and the ability to manipulate and change your dream eater's stats to fix your own is about as fun as LEGOs.

It's hard to get lost in this game, while easy to maneuver and simple in concept, the game still presents a challenge as well as 3 difficulty modes.

Cons: This is a Kingdom hearts game, so the story is convoluted and awful. Most of the levels seem short and are completely uneccessary to the plot.

I had no idea what was going on, and just like most kingdom hearts games, there really isn't a decent explanation discussing what had happened beforehand. While there are snippets and flashbacks with some background, they really don't explain enough for anyone to have a cohesive understanding.
