On defense, you can get between the pipes as the goalie with gesture-based goaltending – both in game-play and in shootouts.

And, what would a hockey game be without a fight? Use the Remote and Nunchuk to drop the gloves and throw some punches. In-game presentation system includes pre-game intros, crowd animations, color commentary and even a Zamboni mini-game between periods. Other game-enhancing features include hit-by-puck collisions and playoff beards to deliver the uniqueness that is hockey. If your team goes all the way and wins the Stanley Cup, you can even control the celebration. Start a game of pond hockey for a quick break or take part in the user-friendly franchise system which lets you control the off-the ice workings of a team for deep play. One-timers, give-and-go and tic-tac-toe passing are executed by selecting multiple players prior to pressing the pass or A button.

Wii Remote Goaltending – Gesture-based goaltending allows fans to get between the pipes and flash the leather. Even take control when it counts the most -- in shootouts!
