Cars: Mater-National Nintendo DS Game THQ

Fresh from his success at the Piston Cup, race car Lightning McQueen invites race cars from around the world to compete in the First Annual Mater-National Race Festival held in Radiator Springs. Burn rubber in over 30 races and mini-games as one of 10 vehicles from the movie including Lightning McQueen and Mater the tow-truck. Mini-games will have you playing “tag” with other cars, trying to complete the most laps on limited fuel or getting rhythmic with Ramone the low rider among other challenges.

Characters and scenery from the original movie return with the voice actors reprising their roles in the game. New characters and scenery appear as well. Each character, new and returning, has been faithfully rendered in Pixar’s unique style. The area around Radiator Springs has been rendered to provide an open-world environment. Race through the brightly-rendered 3D terrain as you try to beat your opponent to the finish line. If you outrace one of the foreign cars, you’ll be able to unlock them as a drivable car as well. Link up with another Game Boy owner for additional competition.
