Had me hooked all the way
- Pros: I have grown a fascination for puzzles, and I really was impressed with myself solving a number of them. This game can be geared towards children, but as a 20 year old, I was able to solve most of them without breaking a sweat. Than there were a few that I found simply impossible, just because the wording was terrible. It's the only DS game that had me hooked until I beat it 100%. Oh and the storyline was AWESOME. My assumptions of the mysteries were wrong, the twists were crazy.
- Cons: Finding hint coins and hidden puzzles will have you tapping everything on the screen, and that's where most of the hours were spent. I eventually caved and found a FAQ online and got the ~6 I was missing. The storyline got a little out of hand, and it had me thinking the entire time. Nonetheless, my assumptions were wrong, the twists were crazy. That's a pro.
- Other Thoughts: It's a true downtime game, I beat it within a few days yes, but if I had a job and things to do other than nothing, it would have been lodged in my DSi for eternity. It was the only game I really enjoyed in YEARS, and was a GREAT use of the touch screen. Simply AWESOME, and recommended to anyone with a taste for thinking LOGICALLY, and a great storyline.
That being said, I can understand why women would have trouble with this. Logic isn't infused in the X chromosome I suppose.
Curiously awesome
- Pros: I love video games. Especially video games that actually pose a challenge. This game has some seriously challenging and seriously rewarding puzzles to solve. Once you get hooked on solving puzzles you won't want to put it down! I can't say the puzzles were too tough cause they give more hint coins then would ever be necessary.
- Cons: Game felt a bit short. Everything wrapped up rather quickly.
- Other Thoughts: Great game if you really want a game that will make you use your brain.
Puzzles Galore
- Pros: Great puzzle solving adventure. Quite a few hours of gameplay.
- Cons: Not a huge fan of the tap the spot to move there kind of game, it makes the game move slower.
Too many hint coins around to make it a difficult choice whether to use them or not.
Not really much replay value cause once you've solved the puzzles there is really no reason to solve them again.
- Other Thoughts: besides all the cons there is no reason why this game wouldn't get a 5. I loved the puzzles. this was the first game in a long time that I had to actually use my brain to beat. I love these games and developers should make more like it.
