For the first time, the fan-favorite LEGO City vehicles and play sets come to life in LEGO City: Undercover, exclusively for the new Wii U console. Players assume the identity of Chase McCain, an undercover detective armed with clever disguises. The mission is to put a stop to the fiendish Rex Fury and end his crime wave in LEGO City. As players run, drive and even fly through the city, they’ll use the Wii U GamePad controller as a new police gadget.
Exceeded My Expectations
Pros: Large, open world littered with things to do and collect (disguises, bricks, super builds, vehicles, extras etc). An enjoyable charm and humor to the characters and story. Very family friendly.
Cons: You might hear a lot about the load times in this game, but much of that is overblown. The one thing I'd say there though is the initial load each time you fire up the game to reach the start menu is seemly the longest and most notable, because you hit that and then select your game which then proceeds to load. Hopefully they work out that initial load with an update, but otherwise it's not an issue for me or my wife.
Other Thoughts: We have eight games for our Wii U and while all of them are great, so far this is the gem. If you have a Wii U or needed a reason to get a Wii U, this is it. It's been years since I have enjoyed a game as much as this one.
