You'll love to hate it!
- Pros: Let's face it - this game isn't good and was never intended for release in America. But I love it just so much! Why? Because it is absolutely absurd to the point of being rolling-on-the-floor hilarious at times. Cornet's over-bearing self-image issues (not helped by the fact that someone calls her a "fatty" just about every 5 minutes in-game). Wacky and idiotic enemies and bosses (you fight kittens bent on slaughtering you for BBQ sandwiches . . . more than once). Baffling musical scores in the middle of a battle (A group of Pirates break out into song, fearlessly exclaiming that "when we get sunburned we put on lotion"). "Limit Breaks" that consist of dropping various oversized cakes and pastries on the enemies (just in case, you know, the whole "Cornet is a fattyMcfatfat she is 5 pounds overweight" thing has gone unnoticed thus far).
- Cons: It's easy. Nevery dying once is a real possibility. Never having a character KO'd isn't that hard, either. Leveling up is effortless and most anything can be killed in one hit of your fully-charged DeathPastry.
Oh yeah, and the storyline blows. To the point where I wonder if it was intentional. Characters break the "fourth wall" more than once, so . . .
- Other Thoughts: They made a sequel. Yep. They did. But it stayed in Japan, where it belongs.

A long, long time ago, there was a small village called Orange, located in Marl Kingdom. And in this town lived a little girl and her grandfather. The girl's name was Cornet. Cornet also had a strange little friend. This friend was a puppet, blessed with a soul like any human. The puppet's name was Kururu. The people of Orange always thought Cornet was odd for spending all her time with a puppet, but they always treated her nicely. This is because everyone loved her bright, smiling face. Part of Cornet's daily routine was to take a walk through the forest with Kururu. And this went on without a problem. Until one day... |
